GM looking for Players (IRC game)

By fullmetal_el_sparko, in Dark Heresy

I'm looking for players to play in a game over IRC (not PBP)

This will be the first game I've GMed so experienced players would be preferred to make sure i don't mess anything up, but new players are just as welcome (we were all new players once)

I'm still deciding on story and such so I'll not put anything here since its likely to change.

I would be holding the games either weekly or fortnightly on Sundays and start at 1 or 2 GMT (time may change, but it will be around this time), but you don't need to be on GMT to play, you'll just need to work out the difference and show up at that time.

For Character creation we'll be using RAW with 1 little change

instead of rolling for each characteristic seperatly, roll 20d10 drop the lowest two and add the rest to the standard modifiers, that helps to get the character you want.

I'd like to keep it with human characters (sorry, no orks, tau etc) but I'm open to custom careers and equipment, but you'll need to send me them so I can OK them

I'm OK with elite advances as well, but you'll need a good reason why your character has it.

I'd like 4 players, 5 max

If you don't have an IRC client and want to play just download either chatzilla (if your using Firefox or Seamonkey as your internet browser) or mIRC. both are free.

PM me or post here if your interested.

I might be interrested but I am not sure if it will get to much for me.

I'm not expecting people to show up every game, obviously people have other stuff to do. I'm expecting its will probably be a fortnightly game, as long as you could make most of the games that would be fine.

I'm thinking i might change the day to Saturday rather than Sunday and it will be at 2pm GMT. If you reply say which you'd prefer to play :)

I'd be intersted in joining. I'd probably be good for either days, but Saturday is preferable. I could probably get you a character sheet sometime within a day or two.

Awesome initiative GMT +1 here, so no problemo.

So when do we start first sessions, for bg creation and team setup?

[email protected] for contact, untill we have a schedule.

You will have to wat at least until he brings together enough players, but character creation can easily be done by email and IM.

Thanks for the interest in the game, if you can put an email address in a post, I'll send you some more information and it will help me keep in contact with everyone :)

cheers

My bad. Meant to put it in the first post.

I'm interested. I can play Saturdays or Sundays. I'd probably prefer Saturdays as I presently run my own Dark Heresy IRC campaign on Sundays. Feel free to send me some details at [email protected] and I'll look them over. If you need help setting up, let me know, as I have a fair amount of experience with the system, and IRC gaming in general.

Would be interested as well, experienced GM of DH and other RPGs, however haven't played in IRC in over a decade. I'm good either Sunday or Saturday as long as I know well in advance. My time zone is eastern europe, so GMT is good.

PS edit: ehem, my mail is [email protected]

hey i wanna join ur irc game. i have some experience in all this and i have a character ready to go.

if u wanna reveal ur email then i can send u the papers.

and how on earth do i pm in this stupid forum? that might be the reason for not getting any sparko.

cheers

No problem, good luck in your game :D

sparko, maybe you just wanna send me an email anyway, so that I can send you my character papers. just to have a look.

i think you'll like'm. and you won't regret having me in your crew, even if only as a backup.

or as mysterious stranger dude joining the hook at some later point of time.

I'm up for it, if its not too late.

Send me a msg or IM via Gtalk.
