I do not see anyone mentioning this... it was at Gen Con, got it! Of course as expected AOR Beta book too.
Also series 3 Xwing minis... GOT B-WING!

Do tell!
Very curious to hear what it's like...
Yep! I posted a pic elsewhere. My friends picked up a copy of both BtR and the AoR beta. Sadly, Enter the Unknown is not yet available.
Edited by InetiBeyond The Rim was sold out when I got in line at 10:30. Lucky you. I didn't touch the Beta since I dropped way to much on X-Wing. Played it the other day and it was a blast! My wallet hates me.
Quick question -- any vehicles in there?
Jealous
What new races are there, if any? I'm assuming that Chiss is since a blue-skinned fellow is on the cover.

You mean "enter the unknown"...
I was going to ask what new game content it has, besides the adventure, but since the FFG store still lists it as "available soon" I decided I don't want to torture myself.
Well i'll ask. What's the new content besides the adventure?
The Explorer supplement "Enter the Unknown" was not at Gencon. So I can't help you there.
The adventure... "Beyond the Rim" was there. The adventure includes new adversaries and vehicles. Some of which are scout troopers, the Skywatcher-class scout ship, and two creatures, the amphibious reevos, and the nexu. There are also good write-ups for the Wheel space station, and two planets (Cholganna and Raxus Prime).
I finally finished reading it all, and am looking forward to running it for my group. It has many interesting encounters and possibilities to include multiple character concepts. From the combat oriented to the social expert, the pilot, the mechanic, the doctor... they all will have their moments to shine. It also gives leads to so many more possible adventures. It was definitely one of my best purchases at Gencon.

You must mean on Saturday. I got it around noon, but I was there on Friday.

As stated, this is the Adventure with the badass Rodian on the cover, not the Rules Supplement.

I am still running my group through my mishmash of Teemo adventures (which I have altered dramatically) and am going onto a revamp of Shadows of the Black Sun... which is also going to tie into the Teemo saga... so I have not even had a chance to look at this yet honestly.

I am going to be running "Shadows of a black sun" in the next couple of weeks (hopefully), what sort of "revamp" are you performing? I like the module but I am considering doing the same..

Is that ship a possible choice for PCs to start play with? Can you tell us anymore about it?
It's a deep space scout ship. It is not intended to be used as a starting ship. It is Restricted, designed by Sienar Fleet Systems, who does a lot of Imperial designs (if you get my meaning). I don't want to say much more.
Edited by Bren_WayneroSeems to be a new ship entirely.

WARNING there might be slight spoilers in here even though I have changed it drastically.
Well about 9 months before Edge was announced, me and my group decided to play WEGs old d6 game. We had kind of had it with d20. So I decided to do a campaign based on something I always wanted to do... Star Wars pirates. The group is not bad "per se" because they target imperial ships, but the whole group does work for Jabba and spend most of their time transversing between Nar Shaadaa and Tattooine. Oddly enough FFG started with my campaign exactly, so we ported our campaign.
So I did not have the Beginner Box, but had downloaded Long Arm of the Hutt (also note, we had already done Crate of Kraytes as a test game). I had already started to port a Saga Adventure called Rendezvous on Ord Mantrell (which someone else has done here on forums also).. but I changed it also to have my NPCs.
The way this is tied to Long Arm is... the party finds B'ura Ban in the Pirate Mesa camp in Rendezvous. Also a girl they were trying to help find her ship lied... she was stealing B'ura Ban's ship, which was loaded with Black Sun spice. The party then took B'ura Ban home to Ryloth, which leads us into Long Arm.
Long arm act one is pretty similar, but at the end when defeating the bullies, the part learns that they were hired by a BLACK SUN VIGO named Teemo (yes, he is not a hut in mine) and that Teemo has been hiding some of the operations here from his bosses.
This leads to Act 2 which is also similar beginning. They goto the party, but the girls who stole the spice are there (she had a partner)... also the Watto guy is very helpful to my group because he knows who they are (Jabba connection)... but also there was a serious threat from the Black Sun girl.
The end of act 2 is totally different. The goto landing bay and it is the girl's ship and they are going to confront them, however they are put in a 4-way stand off. The Black Sun chick shows with her minons, the Bounty Hunter shows with a couple... there were geonosian guards. The two girls started yelling for them to get on the ship and the party escaped with them after taking out a number of bad guys... however they had to abandon their ship.
So now the question is what next... I will either be going BACK to the original Escape for Mos... or Act 3... or a combo. Have to finish reading each. The setting will likely be Anchorhead though instead. However it ends, it will not be the end...
I am thinking Teemo will escape, and he replace the bounty hunter character in Shadows. I will also likely be changing the setting to Nar Shadaa.
There is a couple twists as to why this has happened... and how the girls are connected I cannot go into here due to at least one player who is on these forums. lol

Bren, any chance that there's a map for The Wheel in it?
I can have a look later tonight if he does not answer. I browsed and remember quite a number of pages dedicated to it, but cannot remember maps per se.
Any new vehicles or equipment? New enemies?

This was already answered in this thread by Bren_Waynero. See above.

There is a partial map displaying part of the hanger deck. But that's all for mapping of the wheel. Good descriptions of various areas though. Along with some brief info on the store owners, and various other NPC's to be found there.
Thanks, Bren!

IIRC, The Wheel is at least as big as Babylon 5. Not exactly something that can easily be mapped out in a single adventure module without the price being out of most people's reach for just an adventure.
