Did a new scenario come with the Lambda?

By Stormtrooper721, in X-Wing

Usually the large ships have a new scenario and new tokens with them, like the Falcon had cargo containers and a cargo scenario and the Firespray had a bounty hunter token and scenario.

For those at GenCon, please post the Lambda scenario and tokens, please.

Yeah, one did. I forget what it's called, but yes. There is a new scenario.

Please find a way to post it and pics of the unique tokens if any.

So What’s Up With Wave 3? Not much to add to the spoilers found elsewhere, but since Rekkon has asked and others are curious, I’ll talk a bit about the mission included in the Lambda rules insert. It’s called “Undeniable Assets”, and it’s set up for a 100-point Rebel list and a 120-point Imperial list. The idea is that the Rebellion has disabled a convoy, and the Empire is scrambling fighters to rescue the passengers. You set up three Disabled Ship tokens, which are (of course) included in the Lambda box, and start play. The Empire wins by rescuing 5 passengers and rushing them off the map; the Rebellion wins by capturing 6 passengers. Passengers are rescued from a Disabled Ship using an action while at Range 1 of a disabled ship. Unfortunately, it’s apparently difficult to do, because for each passenger you rescue you take damage. Possibly lots of damage, although the Lambda (and only the Lambda) can avoid it entirely. The Rebellion can capture passengers by critting the disabled ships (one per crit), which have 3 Agility and infinite hit points… or they can just wait for the Empire to do it and then kill the Imperial ship to capture all of its passengers.

There ya go Storm

Thanks, Moore1980. Much appreciated.

I was hoping for something more on the lines of transporting troops or important officers, but okay.

  1. Np, Man.. Yeah, it's a little disappointing, but hey it's a new scenario.

Yeah, it's got the Imperials (bad guys) rescuing helpless passengers from disabled ships while under constant attack from the Rebels (good guys). Seems a bit of a role reversal.

The Imperials should have had a more aggressive scenario role like transporting so many squads of Imperial Stormtroopers or something.

Could anyone at least supply a pic of the disabled Imperial ships?

I think it just goes to show not everyone in the Empire is Emperor Palpatine or Darth Vader. There are many good citizens all for the Empire and this scenario probably shows that.

What are you talking about? Those helpless passengers are the next batch of recruits for the Academy. The Academy has a high turn-over rate, after all. ;)
