Beyond the Rim - updated release date?

By Lauguz, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hello Gamer Nation,

My EotE game has been on summer hiatus after completing the first planned story arc. Now we're looking to start playing again and I think Beyond the Rim sounds like a blast. Has anyone heard anything more definitive for the release date? Now that Q3 is officially half over I'd think FFG might have a better idea.

It says on the product page that its due for a September release.

It's available at Gen Con, so I imagine the general release is imminent.

It is? Has that been confirmed?

My friends bought me a copy last night. :) I can post the picture when I get home.

Nah. That's cool. Because now I may just try and do the same... ;)

:D

maybe it won't hit retailers for a couple of weeks, which will be September, although it would be great to get it sooner.

I ordered one from Miniature Market earlier today. At first the order was listed as Ready to Ship and now it says Complete. In the past I believe pre-orders have said Pending until ready to ship so I hope it is getting ready to ship from MM.

Over the last few years they've always had the new WH40K RPGs out for Gen Con, but it then takes another month for them to get out to the rest of us (in the US at least). Mid-September is probably about right.

So, I'm looking forward to first reviews - is the campaign a string of combat encounters (Warhammer 3rd "The Gathering Storm" I'm looking at you) or allows for different play styles?

And yes, jell-aous too!

I am also looking for a review please! Also, I don't for see this adventure just being combat encounters. I think the writers even mentioned that it will fit all playing styles and specializations.

Hearts sink as fans learn once you discover the Sa Nalaor you roll for initiative and proceed to beat on what's left of the hull with sticks as part of an engaging combat exercise.

I assume that Beyond the Rim comes first? What about Enter the Unknown?

Beyond the Rim is an adventure. Enter the Unknown is a rules supplement for the game (not an adventure).

The release schedule has me intrigued, simply from my experience with the 40k lines. I wonder if we'll be well into AoR or faD and still waiting on Career supplements for EotE to come out. As far as Beyond the Rim I can't wait until September. I love blending a wandering, sandbox-style game with published adventures. Hope to see several of those get released.

The two books are hardback? Any idea of pagecount?

My order status has changed from Complete to Processing Pre-Order so I guess they don't have them in yet.

Beyond the Rim is 96 pages give or take a couple

Ineti, is there a map of the Wheel in BtR? Thanks in advance. :)

Amazon is listing the release date as 9/30. Can anyone verify that date?

Alliance (distributor in the USA) has it in stock and shipping with a release date of September 4.
