The game looks interesting but I may have an hard time finding players to consistently play with so wondering if Solo variant is fun/challenging
I already play Lord of the Rings solo and really enjoy it

Well first, there is no solo variant of this game unless you make something up yourself.
I just think that playing solo in this would be boring. Most of the excitement is the bluffing game and uncertainty and unexpected moves an opponent makes. The game also depends on the value of knowledge/lack of knowledge and secrecy.
Playing solo would remove nearly all of the fun IMO.
I tried out 'Running Solo' and wasn't overly impressed. Maybe because I got very lucky, maybe because it doesn't have a great way to react to milling (I play Noise) but I won VERY easily. In fairness though I only tried it once, so my experience may be a weird data point.
EDIT: Running Solo is the name of a single player variant, not just a weird allusion on my part ![]()
ok thanks
I have played Cracking the Code, and it's rather good! Very difficult, though, and you have to make your own decks, but it's good. There are actually two corp solo variants, and I prefer the "Intrusion/Detection," which has an interesting way the runner makes decisions, but you can use any runner deck for it. You should check those out!
