New Deluxe Epansion and cycle SPOILERS
If they made Dernhelm (Tactics Eowyn), solo mono tactics would suddenly become a viable option.
i dont think they will call her dernhelm, unless they put a note on her text..otherwise you could have two of her in play at the same time ![]()
Oh I'm sure they won't, but it's like calling Tactics Aragorn Thorongil.
Spoiler Alert!!!!
Eomer is the new Hero in the Isengard expansion. Tactics. 10 Threat. 1 WP, 3 AT, 2 DF, 4 HP. Rohan, Noble, Warrior. Response? After a character leaves play, Eomer gets (guess...+1) Attack. Limit (guess...once) per turn. Picture posted on Cardboard of the Rings facebook page. See for yourself
I had kind of hoped that FFG would try to stick to pre-LOTR time frames, and in fact hoped for Grima to be some creative spirit ally, perhaps even a boost to the royals or a bonus with Eowyn.
Isn't it crazy we got a season worth of spoilers in a day of time?
SPOILER IMAGES AHEAD

SPOILER:
eaves? elder? of fangorn is the location in that images..i think?..im trying to see it better, but it appears to be a forest with fangorn on the title. may be wrong
also the quest appears to be a version of the battle of the ford of the isen
Edited by richsabreAlso, Eomer looks absolutely awesome!
Rohan seems to be moving from spirit to tactics ...

I welcome the switch. I never really understood why 90% of all the existing Rohan cards were Spirit. Tactics makes much more sense.

So it seems ... Maybe we will not be able to use theodred after that ![]()
@karlson I agree with you ... And maybe a combo of rohan tactics and spirit with king theoden in could produce a very strong deck

Yes, indeed!
Theoden, Eomer, and Hama for a mono-Tactics deck responsible for battling and defending and Theodred, Dunhere, and Eowyn for a Leadership/Spirit deck with a heavy emphasis on questing. Now that would be some fun gaming!
really hoping its more than a +1 attack since its limit once per round. if it was a +2 attack that would be pretty awesome
Ring-making!!! Now THAT'S what I want to see. There's just so much good stuff going on in this prevew I can't even compute properly. I love everything about it. This may very well become my favorite deluxe expansion to date.
so who is thinking tactics eowyn?
Not yet ![]()
Also Dunlendings! One of my favorite factions from LOTR. I wonder what kind of approach will they make for them.

The limit to 1 per turn is why I only use core Glorfindel for his stats. I almost never uses his heal 1 limit 1 ability.
This is why we don't get nice things all year round. FFG shows us everything about the "design direction" right away, and then has nothing until physical product is ready.
I hope we don't get crying about lack of support in the 3 month lull.
(The cycle looks fun though, now that the lord of the rings saga is being made, I also wonder if the between hobbit and lotr timeline will be kept too or changed).
could also be Limit 2 or 3 per round. Actually it could be many combinations. +3 limit 1. +2 limit 1 or 2. +1 limit 3. Could be every combination.really hoping its more than a +1 attack since its limit once per round. if it was a +2 attack that would be pretty awesome

good point, for some reason i assumed it was limit 1 despite not actually seeing the number. very excited for eomer tho, a great character (like all of them from the book really) who i will be excited to use and contruct decks with

Interesting thoughts! I wonder that too...
Wow! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better after black riders they give us this. Very pleased with it and I think we will see the official announcement in the web in the following weeks.
Darn the box design reminds me a lot of the early games lol, I think the expansion very well might feel like those.
yes, this certainly has a very narrative, beautiful, atmospheric feel to it....well that's what the box art is saying

A man can dream ![]()
This kind of stuff I had been wanting to see for almost as much as Blue Wizards/Barrow downs/Far east stuff. And also I suppose that Ring-maker cycle will focus on the wizards and magic rings?? That would be the most absolutely perfect thing to see!
Edited by GizlivadiBut why are they making this now when we're just about to go to Rohan in the near future with the Saga Expansions? I'd think it would be a little difficult when they're overlapping like this.
