Hey guys, not from your area but Im wondering if any of you have a link to anything dealing with the upcoming regional in CO? Im looking to drive in but am wondering if they have a pre reg page or anything similar. Thanks.

Been interested in more on this event as well - my buddy and I are flying in from the AZ for it.

On a phone, sorry for not much else to say. If you are not on facebook , look up the shop and their events and you can find thr info there.

Jon

I appreciate the response, cant get the link to work however, says its unavailable. I saw the site with the start time of 12 and a $25 entry just trying to ensure its all still the same. And if wave 4 is allowed.

All the same. Don't honestly know about wave 4. If you call them they probably have an answer. Otherwise I can post to the facebook event and respond once I have an answer.

Hiya fellas!

So, as I am tired of staring at my huge ships and not getting to play with them, I am testing the waters to see who would like to get together for some 300 point epic play. I already have some interest from a couple guys at Total Escape Games, and figured the more the merrier. It's looking like it will be either Thursday or Friday next week (Aug 7 or 8) and we can run either of the huge ship campaigns (time permitting) through to completion. I'm hoping we can get teams of two, or ideally three, because it will play faster than tracking 300 points individually. So if you are interested you can let me know here or come on down to TEG on a Monday night and tell me in person.

On that note, this coming Monday (Aug 4) is the start of a new weekly league season down at Total Escape. We have a really great group and are always looking for more and new players. So, if you are just lurking and thinking about getting into the game, come on down and I'll be happy to demo it with you (just look for the guy with white hair playing x wing!). League cost is minimal ($3 for the last one) and you get your participation card as soon as you join up. I believe it's an academy pilot this time around. So yeah, fun! Competition! Swag!

Just a reminder that the new league night starts this Monday at Total Escape Games. League runs six weeks, but you don't need to make all six weeks to join. Also, if you are just looking for casual play Mondays are the night for you at TEG. We always seem to have players of all skill levels looking for games, so come on down!

As an update to the above post, I will be available Wednesday night or Thursday night this week for Epic Play, message me here to set up a game! We have three players, but the more the merrier!

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to start playing X-Wing Miniatures. I'm in Centennial (Aurora), Colorado. Don't have any ships yet.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

I saw you joined the X-Wing Facebook page, welcome!

For yourself, I am not sure how convenient Denver is for you, but you could always join players at The Wizards Chest (Cherry Creek shopping district) typically hosted on Fridays/Saturdays (their calendar tells us), you could play at Adventure's Quarter in Arvada on Monday nights too. Total Escape in Broomfield is also on Monday nights too. I believe those may be the closest places for you, but I could be wrong.

I'm sure if you want to show up and you don't have any ships/not sure 100% on how gameplay goes someone would be more than happy to walk you through a game or two!

Let us know how we can help!

Never heard of Adventure's quarter. Might have to check them out this weekend. If I get into X-Wing, I might have to try getting a game going at Shep's games...located where Attactix (sp) use to be.

Scott

I hadn't either until this past week or so, and I checked them out this past Monday night and everyone there was great! A lot of faces I have seen before honestly, at other events in the Denver-area and it was good to see where they play out of regularly. If we wanted to get something going at Shep's that could be a possibility too - I could maybe make the drive down that way every other week or so maybe.

There is also Troll County Games, its in an office building near 25 and Hampden. Small store but, at night after the offices close they get to use all the open space for gaming.

Scott

Im in the boulder area and just started playing(only have the starter set and a few other pieces). Are there any groups playing in boulder??

I don't know of much going on up in Boulder any longer since I have moved away back to Denver. However, I know of a player who would probably be interested in playing in Longmont, and I've shot him an email to turn his attention here!

Jon

That would be me!

I usually play out of the Atomic Goblin in Longmont, but there hasn't been much happening recently. But I'm game if you want to get together for a game -- just let me know what might work.

Are there any organized events going on over the next couple weekends? I have played the last couple of tournaments at Grand Slam Cards and Comics in Loveland and play every Monday at Haunted Game Cafe in Fort Collins, but have not heard of any upcoming tournaments. We have the Store Championships that will start up in January but hopefully there are some events scheduled before then.

I do not know particularly going on in the next month or two. Most people as of now are gearing up for Worlds (happening in about 2 weeks now).

That being said, I know the Wizard's Chest just got in their winter kits for 2014, and are planning on doing some organized game nights on the 7th and 21st of November. 7th I believe will be a standard 100pt list, and the 21st I believe Alan is looking to do something different than 100pt, maybe epic, or escalation, or something. It's a theme I think we are going to try most nights going forward. I know that Denver is far, but we typically meet up around 6:30/7 and play til midnight or so, at least you'd get some solid game time in. Plus, Alan doesn't charge us any entry fees or anything generally either. (Win, win!)

A few of us will be at Atomic Goblin games in Longmont tonight to get some last minute practice in for Worlds. You do not have to be going to worlds to come play, and we would love to see you!

Sorry for the last minute notice, this all came together over the last couple of days. Hope to see some people there!

We plan to be there from about 6:00 to 9 pm.

Hi fellas. Anyone playing tonight?

No events that I am personally aware of sadly.

Next Friday Wizard's Chest will be having another game night starting at 6:30.

We also just had our first night of casual play at the Wizards Chest on this past Wednesday night, and I realized I forgot to announce that here. I wanted to offer an alternative for those who couldn't play Monday nights at Total Escape or Adventure's Quarter.

So the casual Wednesdays will run on opposite weeks of competitive Fridays, so no Wednesday next week, but the 26th I will be there in case anyone wants to play. Then Dec 10th, and so on and so forth.

If there is enough interest, maybe we'd do it every week, but we'll probably make that decision come the new year would be my assumption.

Anyway, I hope that's helpful! Maybe we'll see you at a Wednesday event in the near future!

Jon

Thanks Jon!

I will probably be at Wizard's Chest on Friday 11/21. I can't make Wed. the 26th due to family obligations, but I can try for the one two weeks after.

I'll be at TEG on Monday, or maybe I'll go to AQ and see who is playing there. Either way, I'm looking for some games to get me ready for the Store Championship season (I took a much needed break from competitive play).

Thanks again, and we'll see you on Friday.

One thing I'll fair warn about Friday:

Alan is trying to mix things up a bit, and instead of doing 2 nights of 100 point dogfights he is looking to do different game types on the second Fridays of the month. So I don't know what the plan is for this coming Friday next week, but it won't be a standard 100 pt dogfight I'm pretty sure.

Nice! I tire of the standard deathmatch sometimes. I will bring the collection then, thanks for the heads up.

I'm new to the game (but just picked up several minis for variety) and am interested in playing in the Denver metro area, especially Arvada, Lakewood, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Englewood, or Aurora (these are close to work or on the way home). Are there any groups meeting weekly in those areas? If so let me know and I'll join you either next week or the week after once I'm back in town after the holidays.

Thanks!

Hi Demaratus! Welcome to X-Wing. There are many places you can play in the Denver metro area, so I'll name a few:

Adventure's Quarter runs weekly game nights on Mondays. You are always welcome to drop in there!

Enchanted Grounds in Highlands Ranch runs bi-weekly X-Wing I believe, check their website/calendar for info.

Wizards Chest in Denver CO runs many events - Wednesdays at 6:30 we do casual play until about 9:30 or so, and 2 Fridays of the month there are competitive nights where we play for prizes.

Total Escape Games in Broomfield also runs weekly game nights on Mondays.

If I think of anymore I'll add them on! Let me know if there is something else I can help with!

Hello we are a new shop in Loveland, CO looking to bring X-Wing into the store. We have one regular group, but would really like to get OP going because we are big fans of the game. We are The Rogue's Roost at 229 e 10th street in Loveland, CO. A group comes in on Thursday nights, and both of us who run the store play X-Wing and D&D Attack Wing.
