The Lambda can do a 0 (red) maneuver?

By Sprolly G, in X-Wing

That's pretty cool that we're getting a ship that can skip a maneuver for stress. What's the rebel equivalent I wonder...

The rebel equivalent is probably the b-wing moving 1 forward and then barrel rolling backwards.

That's saying that the "leaked" dials are correct. Maybe that or the 2-K turn.

I have the dials in my possession. The B-wing indeed has a speed 2 k-turn. Neither the shuttle nor the HWK-290 have k-turns.

dbmeboy, if you could post pics of the contents (maneuver dials, packaging cards, tokens and such) I'd be in your debt.

I will eventually if nobody else beats me to it. I've somewhat overloaded my schedule this year, but I should be able to find time to get that done. In the mean time, Team Covenant has a full series of unboxing videos, though I don't think they show the dials.

No, they just show the stuff from the FFG spoilers.

It's up to you! Don't make me quote the hologram of Leia ;)

Is it a 0 forward?

It looks like zero "nothing". It is new type of bearing so the navigator would not work here.

Awwwww that sucks O well, awesome move none the less.

The 0 is "stationary" bearing. So navigator will not help you un-do it. A friend sent me a pic of the rules last night.

I can confirm this.

Too bad you couldn't change facing though

Have you seen anyone play wave 3 yet dmeboy?

So if you pulled a 0 maneuver and then the Lambda Shuttle gets hit by an ion turret, it will move forward next turn, correct?

The image of the shuttle coming to a complete stop then suddenly get pushed forward because of the ion turret amuses me for some reason. :)

Lol. Seeing as it can't maneuver so well, it will be an easy target if left by itself.

I havent noticed yet, but how does the B-Wing barrel roll backwards?

The same way any ship does: start with the template along the back edge of the ship and end with it along the front edge. Combined with a speed 1 maneuver the B-wing can move forward very slowly.

Look at the example for the barrel roll action in the rulebook. You can choose where to place the move 1 template along the side of the ship's base, so you can actually move it slightly forward or backwards. It's still going to the side, but you can add a little movement forward or backward at the same time.

Surprised me too.

You can basically turn anything with a hard 1 on the spot this way. Either hard 1+barrel roll for a 90 degree turn or if you have PTL and a boost you can hard 1+boost+barrel roll for 135 degrees.

Holy crap! The nuances of this game's rules continues to amaze me! I never realized that I could adjust the base up or down long the template. I have always done a perfectly lateral move. Thanks for the "open your eyeballs and look dumba@@ moment". I have been reading hints of this other places and never put it together or thought to re-read the rules to clarify for myself, lol.
