It's not clear which attachments Bolas can have.
Perhaps some melee attachments are appropriate as it makes physical contact with enemies? If you can sharpen edges, you can sharpen wires or the weights, etc. Though using bola for damage is kinda silly I suppose. In canon the upgrades seem to increase disabling ability or accuracy, a la:

I think you just found the perfect place for the currently-useless Weighted Head attachment.
Sure, as per RAW it wouldn't work because it only works for bludgeoning Melee and Brawl weapons, but just tell me that that wouldn't make perfect sense. Plus, getting a concussive bola would be great. You could, with enough advantages, remove their actions AND their maneuvers!
Weighted head is mostly for the truncheon weapon I think. Which maakes it distressingly speciffic, but far from useless. Disorient is a great ability to have so making the thing better in general is good.

Unfortunately, Truncheons don't have enough hard points to equip the attachment. One of the develeopers has already commented that it was included with "forward compatibility" in mind.
Well, remember. Weighted Head can give Concussive, not Disorient. Concussive can stagger people, denying them their actions. Much better than just adding a setback dice!
But I would totally let people do that to a net or bolas. Add heavy things on it that could knock them senseless when you chuck it!

All kidding aside, couldn't you use the Quality upgrade at least?
Superior quality, yes. It's actually incredible for bola/nets, as Superior generates a free advantage for weapons. Given that a bola/net will do no damage except to the weakest creatures or with many successes--all its value comes from special qualities that need to be activated with two advantage--the weapon becomes about twice as effective with Superior.
I do like the idea of a weighted head, though. The damage is pretty much irrelevant, but it would be worth it just to open up the option for the Concussive mod.

Nothing unless you tinker it up and add weighted head with your GM's approval.
The question was asked in another topic i believe, what came up in the end is that in futur addition of books in the EotE series new material would appear. Things such as weapons attachments and various equipment. So I wouldn't be startled to see attachments compatible with the bolas in other books.
