I haven't seen EotE in PDF yet. Does FFG make current games available in PDF?
PDF's
Trolling or serious?
If serious, please read the "READ THIS FIRST" post.
If trolling, please go kiss a wookie.
Nope, Licence problems and that stuff.
FFG dosent have the licence to give out (sell) PDF's of Star Wars products.
There's like a hundred treads about this topic on the forums already.
(no mean to sound downgrading)
Buy the book.
Scan the book.
????
Profit.
@FangGrip Take care before you burst a bloodvessal.
@Poseur Thanks, I have the book but I couldn't take it with me. I'm on a mobile in a low Sig area and can't get the big threads to fully open. I thought Is ask, but apparently there are a few A$$hats on here. Anyway, thank you for answering the question. When I get to a computer, I see I'll need to find the ignore/block function.
Lighten up, Dunning-Krugers.

It's just had so many threads asking, despite it being in the sticky thread at the top of the page, most people are tired of seeing it.
That's no excuse to be rude to new posters.
THESE PDF THREADS ARE VERY EASY TO IGNORE. IF YOU ARE TIRED OF THESE THREADS THEN STOP READING AND POSTING IN THEM.

Agreed. Either politely answer or re-direct the new person, or shut your proverbial pie hole.
Seriously, why people bother to post in threads that they have no interest in is beyond me...

None of you came off looking particularly intelligent/tolerant/kind/welcoming.
Read This First and FAQs exist so that threads like this that devolve into arguments and insults thanks to their frequency and repetition don't have to keep coming up.
It's not a matter of searching all the posts to see if it has been covered before. It is a matter of doing the absolute minimum of checking FAQs and Read This Firsts to make sure that what you are about to ask isn't already answered and that you are not about to clutter up a forum with yet another post on an already answered topic that then devolves into...well...this.
Common courtesy suggests that if you wish to begin well within a community, you take the time to make sure you know what has gone before. It also suggests that, if you are already a member of said community, you take the time to welcome new members and maybe not blow up their first few threads into what amounts to a flame war right off the bat.
Although lacking in elegance, Fangrip's first response was reasonably appropriate. If you are serious about this question, please read the Read This First post. If not, then this is trolling and we would like none of it, thanks.
Honestly, the eagerness with which some of you jump in, on both sides , and fling about insults and righteous indignation suggests that you'd much rather have a board populated by trolls rather than people actually intent on discussing the games. It becomes tiresome to see this happening over and over again in various topics.
SSand, welcome to the community.
Folks, please stop giving FangGrip or Poseur grief. Their responses are completely appropriate. The first action both of them took was to provide a newcomer with the information they had requested. Their second action was to protect the community.
Kudos to both of them.

You are quite correct, it was inelegant.
It was also an honest attempt to redirect someone I was hoping was serious, but also including a poor attempt at levity if they were not.
It was never intended to continue this thread longer than that answer, much less start a flame war of any sort. I tend to simply step back from any threads that look to be sliding that way, but I thought your common sense appraisal required a response.

There was nothing "elegant", "appropriate" or "reasonable" about FG post, it was rude. A simple re-direction like Posuer's response is an example of appropriate. As for implying that the OP was trolling because he/she asked a question on a forum dedicated to discussion and question answering that's just another form of saying what FG did. Trolling is about intent, intent to stir the pot and not merely asking or answering a question. What FG later says was just a poor attempt at levity could easily been argued as an example of Trolling.
I appreciate that FG clarified and I believe him, but would he have bothered if not for those of us who called him out? I don't know but I do know that Forums are filled with people who are generally pretty decent and helpful who simply forget that text only is a poor vehicle for delivering irony and sarcastic humor. When this happens it's appropriate to call people on it if only to remind them that this is a stunted medium. Just take a moment and read what you write as if you can't hear any of your own internal dialogue before you post it.
Oh and the comment by gwek on "protecting the community"; as I said, this is a poor medium to show emotion but I'm laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of even the idea of this. xD
Protecting it from what exactly? A question that was already answered? Oh the humanity...
In the interest of sane/intelligent discussion, the PDF question was asked at the In-Flight Report.
The answer is simply "We can't sell PDFs, but the free downloads from the website are an exception"
