Making a large NPC excel book and run out of ideas

By musket_max, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So I'm making a large excel sheet with stat lines for every conceivable NPC, with a hyperlink function to allow easy access to each individual stat line, as it stands im up to about 100, using ones from the book as well as making my own, however I've rather run out of steam when it comnes to thinking up concepts and the like.

This is where I am right now, with the extra floating names and bold categories ideas for further expansion, so any ideas for further NPCs, any statted up NPC suggestions would also be welcome!

This is great. If you don't mind sharing I would love to get a copy of that spreadsheet. It would certainly save me some time.

I started a little something like this myself, where I've fully statted (within reason) a bunch of stock NPCs that I can use, although I've recently started moving that information to Evernote.

There are quite a few variations of the Krayt, the Lylek is as scary as a Rancor at least and could be listed. Tauntaun, Wompa and Mynocks come to mind.

Lets see, off the top of my head:

* More average everyday people (Policeman, bar tender, shopkeeper, cab driver)

* Corporate Sector Authority folks (Espo, Viceprex, agents and so on)

Also, I second posting it for all to enjoy. I'd love to get my hands on this fellow when done.

I did some of the Espo stuff in the Imperial column, largely doing the 3 from the book and adding in a more businessman rival as well, i'll probably post a mostly finished copy tomorrow as I'm off from work, just wanna go through make sure everything is ok with it, and possibly add in some more stuff.

Good suggestion on the average people kinda thing, although I'd be tempted to stat them up mostly as minions, with the issue of the whole minion group thing, I may just have some more cut and dry stuff, as you suggested, like a barman, and traders.

Max, this is awesome!- I love these kind of things. Such killer tools for GMing. I'll give it a look over tomorrow, and see if I have any unmentioned ideas.

Thanks for posting it!

A book of large NPCs?

There's Jabba, Senator Orn Free Taa, Porkins...

Wow, this was EXTREMELY useful to me for planning adventures, thank you.

I could use a list of passengers for space travel with quirky traits.

This is not about stats, but rather about narrative story line behind the NPCs. Some will be simple NPCs... others may be weird, and of course among all those guys, a naughty nemesis may sidle up the the players...

Some guy in a Rebel flight suit with an astromech droid muttering about not making it to the rendezvous point on time... doesn't really care where you take him...
