So I managed to win the first 3 Act 1 quests, but the heroes have stocked up on some decent loot due to the Treasure hunter so I don't feel too bad.
This weekend we're going to play the interlude, and so far I've racked up 5 experience points:
Unholy Ritual x1
Blood Rage x2
Blood Lust x1
With this combo I'm going to run Ogres, Kobolds and Sorcerers.
Due to the undying special rule that Ogres and Sorcerers have, if I understand the "group limits", I'll be able create a lot of minions off of the master Ogre and Sorcerer monster that respawns during the beginning of my turns. Since the group limit of the Ogres is 1 minion and 1 master, I can follow the group limits by spawning the master and when he's defeated he leaves behind a very tough minion. The Sorcerers are nasty in their own right with the Sorcery skill.
If I get an Unholy Ritual off with the kobolds, I'll be able to get a combo going with the Blood Lust, and Blood Rage that'll bring the heroes to their knees, fairly quickly. The kobolds are there are always make sure I have the cards I need, and they can potentially do a lot of damage with swarm.
The expansion pack has definitely given the OL some very powerful builds.
