7th House Faction?

Why isn't House Arryn have its own House card, it is one of the 7 kingdoms of westeros. I think it would be interesting to see what could be made of House Arryn.

Spoiler alert.

While you might think it's thematic, it could be just as thematic to have House Bolton or House Frey, both of whom now have command of one of the 7 Kingdoms. In fact, it would be moreso, since House Arryn has made it a point to avoid participating in the Game of Thrones.

There are a fair few CCG cards that fleshed out the House Arryn theme, but a separate house card is, I suspect, not on anyone's radar.

Although - there have been calls for it for years. I did like the way they were handled in House of Talons, but I would applaud an addiiton of the Arryns as their own House. Frey would be a pretty blah House and the Boltons are pretty well represented already - I'd like to see the Falcons get thier own card.

But...what would they do? Yes, there are a couple of bannermen that would fit under the flag, as it were, but we've already got Jon Arryn as a neutral card, which only leaves two others. Lysa Arryn - what would her effect be? And I shudder to think what you could make Robert Arryn do. "Kneel Robert Arryn to make an opposing character fly out the moon door" or "Kneel Robert Arryn while he has a hissy fit. The current round immediately ends unless Lysa Arryn is also in play", maybe? While I agree that it's always nice to see folks from the books, some of them just wouldn't contribute anything meaningful to the game, in my view. And there certainly aren't enough cards you could make to flesh them out to match the other great houses.

I would love to see The Eyrie as a location card, however. We have a vale rookery, after all...

7th House card or not, it's an untapped part of the story in the LCG right now and there could be a lot of new cards created to support it.

A House of Talons (CCG) had lots of Arryns cards that could be re-released -- Alayne Stone, Littlefinger, Blackfish, Nestor Royce, Bronze Yohn, Ser Vardis, Maester Colemon, Defender of the Vale, High Road Patrol, Septon at the Eyrie, and many more...

And there was the card "Make Him Fly"

Response: After you win a ico_power.png challenge by 4 or more total STR,choose and kill a non-Dragon character controlled by the losing opponent unless he or she kneels a House Arryn character under his or her control.

Kneel Lysa Arryn to have Robert Arryn breast feed.

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO PUT THAT IMAGE IN MY HEAD AGAIN?!?!?!?! ARRRGHHHH!!! IMAGINE THE CARD ART!!!!

I would hate to see Arryn as a neutral faction, since they are not netural in the books, like Dorne they are just waiting for the right time. (Besides Baelish is a Arryn Bannerman, so all the crap he did in Agot up until now is technically House Arryn)

Also, every time FFG has added a neutral faction with lots of cards, everyone and their mother make six slightly different variations of the same deck.

The only truly neutral faction is the night's watch everyone else is scheming for someone even varys.

On the contrary, House Arryn *is* Neutral in the books. Lisa Arryn, who was essentially head until Robert comes of age, specifically stated they'd stay out of this war. And if you think Littlefinger is working for anyone other than Petyr Baelish...

Doran Martell, on the other hand, is actively scheming to put his own son or daughter to be King/Queen, and has been since they were born.

Now, mechanistically I can see disliking Neutral decks (Maesters, Brotherhood, etc).

SPOILER ALERT

Ok, firstly, Lysa is the ONE that set off the Lannister/Stark conflict in the first place, and Littlefinger plans on using House Arryn to achieve his own goals (via having Sansa marry the heir). Is this any different then Renly or Cersei? House Arryn has had more of an influence on the Game of Thrones than Martell or Targaryen so far.

I would prefer House Arryn released as a box set, with characters priced to be splashed OOH in other decks. Beyond the box set they don't need too much additional support beyond what a neutral faction would get. In terms of themes I would say they should have a strong shadows theme, a defensive version of intimidate or jousting, and a meele theme of redirecting characters/challenges to other players.
