Can someone please explain to me why these things are so hard to find? And when you do find them the prices are usually inflated.

If i had to guess, from a gameplay perspective...you are getting a TIE that has 3 dice for attack, with excellent maneuverability. Granted, they cost more point wise, but if you can get 2 or 3 INTs to focus their fire, that target isn't long for the world.

Soontir /w PTL could arguably be the IMP's counterpart to Wedge. Soontir on his own is good, but PTL makes him sooo much better.

As for cost, i was lucky and was able to get them from minimarket for 10 bucks a piece (plus shipping of course). Ordered 5 of them. On the off-chance you can find one at a B&N, you'll pay MSRP which should be about 16 bucks /w Tax.
