A couple comments. One, while I admire your from-scratch prototype, I'd also love to see you recreate that paint scheme on one of the original models. Two, while I don't have the nerve to attempt the Prototype paint job yet myself. you have inspired me to finally try my first repaint. I'm busy right now using your method to try and get the red off one of my A-Wings in hopes of making my own Green Squadron Pilot. Slow going, but it's working better than I would have expected.

I repainted my A-wings in a very similar fashion and just painted right over the existing color. You can't tell the difference.

I love the subtle variety in the Green Squadron paint jobs!

I was wondering, what do you like to use for a wash? I prefer India ink and alcohol myself, but I'd love to know what you use.

I do not use washes they tend to stain the plastic and are not very precise so I just black line with the pens shown above. but probably any fine black or even better dark grey pen would do the trick.
