Sorry if this has been asked already. I did a quick search but didn't find anything. I have two questions regarding getting those dang locks open.

1). When is it appropriate to use computers vs skulduggery to open locks? Both say they are used. Under skulduggery it says with some electronic locks you may use computers, skulduggery, or both. It doesn't really provide any explanations however.

2). Electronic lock breakers, what do they do exactly? The explanation says they can slice through most standard electronic locks, and advanced ones can do more complicated locks with no skill on the users part. So what do they actually do? By the explanation it sounds like you can just buy one of these for 1000 credits and leave your thief at home. There is no explanation for if they give a bonus to rolls, or just do it for you.

Keypad or card swipe requires Computers. Picking a mechanical lock without damaging it is Skulduggery. Fooling voice recognition would be Deceit. Taking a lock apart with tools would be Mechanics. And demolitions would be, um...a custom Demolitions skill?

With regards to electronic lock breakers I'd rule the same for them as with all other tool kits: If you're trying to accomplish a task that requires tools without actually having said tools, you take one or more Setback dice. With the tools you don't get Setback dice. And if you're attmepting a task that could be accomplished without tools and you have them anyway, you receive a Boost die.

R2 connecting with the lock through a data port to open it - Computers.

Han pulling the panel off and crossing wires to open it - Skulduggery.
