Question on career advances

By Gorrath, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Ok, we're about to start our first WFR3E campaign and we're still trying to learn all the rules correctly.

One of my players is asking me if he can spend more than 10 advances in a career before switching to another career. I told him he can't because there is only room for 6 advances other than the mandatory 4. If he could spend more than 6, it would mean he could spend more than 6 advances on a stat to raise it higher than 6 so I'm almost sure he can't do that but thought I would ask here to be sure.

And for the non-career advances, players can only buy 2 of those since there is only 2 slots on the character sheet?

Thanks for your time

Patrick

Hello,

yes, You have 10 Advanced possibilities, 4 are fixed, 6 open depending your carrier Advanced table and your carrier caracteristics.

but, You have too your non carrier possibilities, without limit (except roleplaying reality).

when You finish all This Advanced, You Can only"evolve" with a new carrier

The most efficient way to do this is to use exactly what is written on the back of the official character sheet. Although, I don't use the rest of the character sheet, the advancement portion is pretty easy to understand :)
