Card protectors/sheets/books

By TheKestrel, in X-Wing

As my fleet has grown, my cards have become a confusing mess. It's time to get organized!

Managing the pilot cards is easy enough, lots of solutions for that. But what about the upgrade cards? Can anyone point me to a keeper book designed for those lil' guys?

Side loading Baseball Card book pages. You put two cards side by side. I've seen people do this and it looks nice.

I use business card pages in a full size binder, 10 to a sheet. They slide around a little, but it works.

Plano to the rescue again. I got another of the same Plano trays I use for my ships and other tokens and glued half of a round rubber piece in the bottom to hold the cards at an angle. They are a pain in the neck to dig out when they lay flat.

I use an Ultra Pro Pro-Binder. The beginning of the binder is for Rebel pilots. I find that it's easy to open the book to the middle, and so the left middle is the Imperial pilots, and the right middle is for upgrades. I store fan made cards in the back. That way, it's very easy to turn to any section and everything stays in its own main section of the binder. The upgrade cards do slide around but I haven't been annoyed by it yet!

Thanks for the ideas, guys. Guess I'll just stick with the regular Ultra Pro book for now, and see if the upgrade cards want to flee or annoy me.

I've been on a hunt for something good for the upgrade cards and so far this is the best I have found.

I haven't gotten my hands on any yet but the pockets are the same height as the card and are bit wider. Its probably the most efficient use of space you will find for a protector sheet for your upgrade cards.

I like to keep all my cards in the long white boxes so I just adapted one to be able to hold the upgrades/damage deck easily. Its a cheap solution that has a lot of room for expansion as more stuff comes out. I went with a 600ct card box (most FLGSs will sell these for <$2). I then took some cardboard from one of the Star Wars LCG boxes I had lying around and cut some to fit in the box relatively snugly so it looked like the below. Works great, since I can keep all my sleeved cards (pilots, upgrades, and damage) in the same box easily and it cost me next to nothing. I sleeve all my cards with the FFG clear sleeves appropriate for both sizes since the only deck that really gets shuffled is the damage deck.

I keep all the model-related stuff/templates/dice in tackle boxes, which I highly recommend since it is also relatively inexpensive and can fit whatever with a few simple adjustments.

Okay, you guys are making me feel lazy :P

I use resealable baggies that come with the game. I can't remember which packs they came from, but I have Imperial pilots in one, Rebel pilots in another, Elite Pilot Talents in a third and other upgrade cards in the fourth. I have them ordered by type and then cost. It works for me because the cards and everything all fit into one Plano box (something like this, but mine is an older model).

I've got all my stuff in box compartments now. I'd just like something where I can actually see all the cards at once. Moreso for friends who are becoming familiar with the game, than for me... just to be able to see the options at a glance.
