NPC Sheet for GMs

By MagnusPihl, in Dark Heresy Second Edition Beta

I was cooking up a "character sheet" for NPCs, to help me keep track of everything in combat, and I figured others might get some use out of it.

Layout isn't my greatest strength - hopefully somebody can improve on this in time - but it should do the job.

My plan is to laminate a couple sheets and use them with a wet-erase marker. Your mileage may vary.

This is spectacular! Thank you for the contribution. Do you think it would be possible to add room for the NPC personality rules?

But why so many boxes for wounds? Each wound gives an effect or condidtion, then adds 5 or 10 to subsequent rolls, right? No need for so granular book-keeping.

Or am I missing something?

Glad you like it! I'll look into adding them. Looks like there's a bit of general rearrangement to be done, anyway.

No, you're right - I was simultaneously thinking of each box being +5 (and so not needing a crit box, since that's basically 2 ticks) while I was counting to 30ish Wound states.

No more than 5 or 6 boxes should be necessary. That gives some more room for Fatigue, too, which I suppose will generally cap at 18ish (higher for "Unnatural" characteristics.. meh, probably won't account for that).

I've updated the sheet. It now includes personality rules, a more sane number of Wound boxes, and a little more space for info.

Still, the layout is pretty cramped and I'm not too happy with the Disposition box (going to have to do a little erasing in that field). Pencil file is available for anyone wanting to give it a shot. Feel free.

Well, Sir, you did an excellent job there! Thanks a lot.

Fantastic stuff. Many thanks Magnus Pihl. Is there a plan for editable PDF?

You're welcome!

I wasn't planning on making an editable PDF - I've never really found a tool for it that wasn't a pain.

If anyone else wants to take a stab at it (or has recommendations on a non-terrible way of doing it), feel free.

I can do it later tonight, Acrobat X does it pretty **** easily.
