NBN: The World Is Yours: How many cards?

By Willow, in Android: Netrunner Deck Building

The World is Yours allows for 40 cards. When you've run this Identity, do you stick with 40 cards, or do you go up to 44?

Keeping with 40 seems best for making sure you draw key cards in your early hand (Hedge Funds to get started, key ice, etc.) Going with 44 is the common wisdom to make sure your agenda points are diluted, but it seems a bit counter to the aim of decreasing your deck size.

Any experience?

I guess it depends on the deck you want to build. I've seen some scary Scorched Earth decks that use only 40 cards (and they're very effective) but I have no doubt that the right 44 card deck would be just as good.

I've used both a 40-card fast advance deck and a 44 card scorched earth deck. Either or are viable, it just depends on what you want to do with the deck.

can you spare those list? I'm intersted in pre-C&C versions.

How often does your 44 card deck have six cards in hand? How often does it trace? These are the questions to consider when adding a single 2-point Agenda allows you two Recurring Credits for Traces by switching IDs.
