Stained Honor / Destiny Interaction

Stained Honor : R Commit: After you make a control check, give that check -X. If that check is successful, the next time you attempt to play an attack or action this turn, the control check to play it gets +X. X may not be greater than 5.

Destiny : After your opponent plays an ability that gives one of your control checks a penalty, cancel that ability's effects. R Commit: After your opponent checks a 6, they add the checked card to their momentum and re-check (only one re-check per control check). Add 1 card from the top of your deck to your momentum.

If Player A has a Stained Honor on the field, and is going to play a 1 difficulty card, they check a 6 , R with Stained Honor to give its -5 to still pass the check. If my opponent has Destiny, since the window is still open to respond to making a CC of 6, what will happen with Stained Honor's modifications? Will it give my next check -5? Will it never happen since i make another CC after the one i respond to? I'm not sure :(

If you are hacking your own check, then destiny does nothing. Destiny comes into effect for you when your opponent is hacking your check.

Yeah I believe that's right.

For the 2nd ability, I would think that if Stained Honor was used as a first R since the check is no longer a 6 Destiny shouldn't be able to respond to it. Someone else can either confirm or deny because I'm not positive.

Sorry about my failed answer before. As GouHadou always says, reading is FUNdamental! Since you the two abilities are triggered on the same trigger, the check, and it is your turn, you get to respond with Stained Honor first to hack the check. The check becomes a 1, now we return to the "After Check" response window and Destiny cannot respond because the check is NOT a 6; it sees it as a 1.

The original post doesn't actually state whose turn it is.

The turn player always retains priority to respond to a trigger first. If the turn player is the controller of Destiny, they can indeed respond to the check before the other player can respond with Destiny.

If the turn player controls Stained Honor, however, then yes, they can respond with Stained Honor, which would remove the possible trigger for Destiny's response, since they have not checked a 6 anymore.

IF, however, it is Player A's turn and Player B has an Evil Plans on the board, then Player B may respond to Stained Honor with Evil Plans (assuming the card being attempted is an attack). At that point in time, Player A has indeed checked a 6, and Player B may then respond with Destiny.

Not sure how THAT would interact with Stained Honor's bonus, however.

Stamp for MegaGeese. If you respond to your 6cc to make it no longer a 6cc, Destiny loses its trigger to respond.
