In the Talent entry of the True Aim talent, the first part states that you gain "All the beneifts of aiming." Does that mean that you gain +2 Boost dice to your attack/+1 Setback die with a specific target? Or does it mean that you only gain the +1 and it could be used in conjunction with a second regular aim maneuver to get the +2?
I'm inclined to think that it works the second way, and not the first, because that sounds pretty OP. The talent itself seems pretty strong, and that would make it too strong in my opinion.
True Aim
I think RAI is as per your second option, basic aim options +1B/+2S, plus the talent bonus upgrade. If you choose to aim twice, then you get +2B/+1S plus talent bonus upgrade. It's an upgrade you isn't it? (AFB).
Yeah, it is still a really good talent and I really like it. Very powerful. There's no real reason to use regular aim when you have this one unless you are doing a double aim, in which case it is still real strong.
Adding a boost die is still a good bonus, replacing a die is great (with the added chance for triumph) but from how I understand the probability buffs in many long threads in the beta forum it isn't the same (nor as good) as adding a die - boost or ability. Also, you get both benefits from a single manoeuvre the way I understand it: 1 aim manoeuvre = +1 Boost die/+2 Setback dice + 1 upgrade (per rank?). If you spend 2 manoeuvres I understand it to be: +2 Boost dice/+1 Setback die + 1 upgrade (per rank?).
I believe you're correct. True Aim just allows you to get dem ability upgrades.
