By That Blasted Samophlange, in X-Wing

Stuff you would love to see for this game.

Myself, I want:

Nssis Class Clawcraft

Plastic Templates and Dials for each ship

Squad boxes - For the Rebel side Rogue Squadron, an x-wing for each named pilot sporting a unique paint job - Corran Horn had a green x-wing.

For the Imps, Saber Squad with blood stripes on the wings.

Blood stripes aren't a problem for me. I have some Miniature painting background, so I would just paint them on the Interceptor myself.

Ditto!

Boxed set with Corellian corvette and Virgil class corvettes done flat, like a board game, with reversible sides (rebel/empire Correllian corvette and Undamaged/Wrecked Virgil corvette) and capital ship rules added. And maybe some other upgrade/pilot/weapon cards.

Exactly my thoughts!!

Upgrade card pack with like 4 of each card type. Break them up into munitions, pilot skills, and modifications. Dirt cheap to make and would sell really well.

As far as alternative pre painted ships, there is almost no miniature painting background required to do simple modifications. I think I am going to paint my ships up in Lannister colors.

Since FFG has already added a ship from a video game (HWK-290), I would love to see next the Otana from the X-Wing Alliance videogame, I have the feeling it would be a nice fit in the game

And on the empire side the Assault Gunboat also would be really cool to have

I hate to throw in a "me too", but yes, definitely, I agree with this. After Wave 3 is out I really can't think of any other ships that I would care to have for the game. I like it that all the iconic OT ships that would fit into this game system are represented. I am already uncomfortable with the Moldy Crow being thrown in there, but I basically want to get it to have more variety with upgrade cards.

I'm really liking these ideas, especially the plastic dials, since they seem the most susceptible to wear-and-tear.

I like this idea, especially if these packs came in useful tuck boxes.

My dream product is a smuggler ship for the rebels that is not a YT....

But more seriously I think that every 4th wave FFG should do a set of card expansions. Each side would get 2 packs that each feature 3 ships. It would give us 2 to 4 new pilots for each ship and some new upgrade cards appropriate for each ship. It wouldn't include any cards that have already been released. You could maybe get 6 or 8 new pilots, with 8 or 10 upgrade cards. This would cost $10 or $15. It gives us a lot of new variety without releasing new ships and increases the longevity of the game. It would be an opportunity to introduce things like a Rogue Squadron pilot and new R2 units. It could also be an opportunity to have pilot in different ships such as Wedge in an a-wing or Ibtisam in an x-wing.

Well, a Death Star and trench run scenario with tiles and plastic guntowers:

And an Imperial Customs Frigate too.

Oh, and a big book of all the artwork FFG uses on its cards and in its books.

Available for the Empire; The Assault Gunboat, the TIE Defender, and the TIE Avenger. Equipment items from the Flight simulators including Heavy Rockets, advanced concussion missiles, Mag-Pulse Warheads and the Tractor Beam.

The only other TIEs I desire are the TIE Vanguard and TIE scout. Apart from these, I desire not to see any of the 'franken-fighters' that populate some of the forgettable Star Wars titles (TIE Oppressor for one).

For the Rebellion I'd like to see some non-YT large craft, the R-41, T-Wing, E-Wing, and K-Wing. The R-22 Spearhead might be an interesting addition as well :P

+1 to that...

Expansion cards...

I want to see a 4th wave with a TIE Defender, at least, and upgrade packs as Wave 5. Or a compromise; TIE Defender and Z-95 or E-Wing in a 2-ship expansion with upgrade packs for Waves 1-3.

In the near future: ground attack (how can the T-47 not be made into a mini for this game at some point?). Also having seen the preview images for Rebels' Ghost and the new Imperial ships, I wouldn't mind having a wave or two from that show a couple years down the road.

Finally—separate game if it needs to be—Republic era. I don't care if you didn't like the prequels. I did, and I would buy the s*** out of 'em.

Technically most of those ships were still around and in use during the Galactic Civil War.

Totally! How about a Baudo-class star yacht?

250px-Baudo-class_star_yacht.jpg

The Pulsar Skate from the X-wing novels was this type of craft, and apparently it comes in at around 32 meters in length, while the Millennium Falcon is 34 meters, so it definitely fits in the scale of this game. This would be a sweet ship to see on the table top!

New pilots, new upgrades, scenarios and/or other playfield hazards.

I would always welcome new ships, but you would think to maintain sustainability of the game, the ship release may need to be scaled back either in number, or frequency. Just a thought.

I would like to see this ship too, I prefer this version to the Pulsar Skate one. My players are using one of these in my D20 campaign (about to switch to EotE).

I agree, but I think FFG's "Galactic Civil War" comment indicates we won't see much for Republic era craft. And I can live with that... for now.

I like the comic Baudo better myself. More wings and sleekness, and not a dull mono-hull mono-shape. I'd still take either one over a YT-2400 outrider though, since at least it isn't another flying rebel saucer.

I may be in the minority, but I'd love-love-LOVE to see this game system applied to a totally new, generic sci-fi spaceship dogfighting game. My favorite Star Wars fighters are the iconic ships from the original three movies: the y-wing, x-wing, T.I.E. Fighter, T.I.E. Interceptor, A-wing and B-wing. While the alternate universal ships are of mild interest to me, quite frankly I'd rather see the rules system adapted to a brand new, unique setting. That way we wouldn't be restricted to previously printed material, and I wouldn't have to see my iconic favorites, like the x-wing, out performed by extended universe crap (<---said in a "get off my lawn" tone).

I've pointed out on a similar topic list that FFG will have a new supply of ships (content and Idea wise I mean) as soon as production is running on the 2015 movie. CG effects rely on artist renderings and most gaming companies gain access to these so that they can produce a game alongside the movie so they both get released at around the same time.

2013= Wave 3

2014= Wave 4 AND/OR Upgrades packs, Corvettes Boxed set (see my previous post in this thread),

2015= New Movie Wave

What would be interesting is if FFG is looking to get those licensing rights as well.
