Hey all,

We are starting up a new FFG LCG night at Fair Game in Downers Grove, IL.

We'll be meeting every Tuesday at 6pm, and playing till the store closes around 10pm. I expect we'll mostly see Netrunner, Star Wars, and Game of Thrones, but all LCG players are welcome.

Week to week will just be casual play, but I hope to schedule monthly tournaments for any game that can support it. If you have any questions please post here, or e mail the store at [email protected]. Thanks!

Turnout for Star Wars has not been great. I know there are some players around, but getting them in on Tuesdays has proven difficult. I play, but I can't guarantee my availability to play games. We have had better turnout for Netrunner then anything else, not sure if you have any interest in that one.

I have a couple people who just started playing Star Wars LCG and are looking for a store be able to play at. I was wondering how many people currently play at your store and if you are going to be hosting any tournaments. I see you are currently having a tuesday game night and was wondering if another day may be an option as it may be difficult to get my play group out there on tuesdays due to work.

We have a very active community of Netrunner players here on Tuesdays, but I don't currently have any regular star wars players unfortunately. I'm a fan of the game myself and wish this was not the case, but I can't seem to get the critcal mass of players that I need to really get things going.

Community building for a game like this can be really difficult. I know of several people that play the game and are customers, and they would like to have a regular play group. But right now they know there aren't players coming in on Tuesdays right now, so they don't come. Of course, that is a self fulfilling propecy. If they all just came in, we would have a regular playgroup, but getting everyone to show up on one night that first couple of times is really hard.

Well let me know I live close to their and I have been trying to build a play group for chicago. I have a bunch of people that i know that play the game spread out through the area. So if you had a date in mind and we did it in advance I'm sure we could get some thing going. I do know how to play Android, Star Wars LCG, and X-Wing so I could teach any one that would also be interested in learning.

Weeknights can be difficult for 1) People with 9-5 professions and 2) People with kids.

It might work better to try for Friday nights or Saturday afternoons. We have had some good luck here in Minneapolis with Friday Night Star Wars.
