Does anyone play X-wing in this area? I'm located in Plano. Madness Games is where I usually play, but of late there hasn't really been many people playing there, despite the store owner assuring me that he has been consistently selling a lot of X-Wing product (he also does a good job of keeping it in stock despite the shortages).
I'd like to get something going Saturdays if possible, but really any night could work if there were people to play with =).
Actually, I'm looking to start a league at Madness in the near future. I would down for meeting up and seeing if we could get an organized meetup going up there.
Saturday nights are a little crazy at Madness and I'm not sure if that would work out best for the owner. I could make it work if you would like, but I think Sunday afternoon's might be best in the long run.
Either way, we could get together up there this weekend.
That'd be great! I play the EotE RPG every other Sunday, so Saturday would generally work better for me. I am definitely interested in meeting up, especially for a league. I can be at Madness on Saturday at any time. They have the MtG PTQ this weekend, but that probably won't impact the wargaming area much, if at all given the amount of space the store has now. I'm in the McKinney area and I would love to meet up on Saturdays to play X-Wing. I have recently started playing the game I'm hooked (only played a few games so far). Currently, I have more Empire ships than rebel (waiting to find core sets on sale here in DFW and for another wave 1 release).
I have been trying to find people at Madness Comics since they moved. I was down there on Tuesday and they said that they haven't been able to schedule anything official. I'm guessing if we just start showing up, they'll be more inclined to set something up.
I too have been dying to find someone to play with. I'm located in The Colony just west of Frisco. I am off Saturdays and am down to meet up with some people!
I'm usually at the store on Saturday at Madness as early as 10am and always bring my SW LCG and X-Wing stuff. If you go there on Saturday and ask for Tony (he works at the store Thurs/fri/sat), he can locate and/or contact me if you ask him for Matt. Ill be there this Saturday if you all want to meet up, I have nothing else going on as far as I'm aware, so just name a time that works best for you. =)
I was talking to Dignan and Tony and I know that they have both shown interest in starting a league. I also happen to know that Madness has several of the Season 1 OP kits/promos (I dont think they have the season 2 ones). I suspect that there will be a serious push from the owners to start leagues for both X-Wing AND the Star Wars LCG now that the MtG Pro Tour they hosted is over.

Ill be up at Madness again Saturday 8/24, if anyone wants to come play. Ill also be playing the Star Wars LCG if anyone wants to demo/try it out. Not sure when Ill get to the store, probably around noon unless someone is there earlier than that, my schedule is flexible.
I was in Madness yesterday and the store employees said that it is on their To-Do list to start X-Wing sessions. Currently, they recommend posting to their Facebook as a way of organizing. I don't have a Facebook account (and prefer to keep it that way), so I thought I would start here.
I might be able to make it on Saturday during the board game meetup. I should be there Monday afternoon (Labor Day) as well. It'd be great if someone else showed up because I don't have much of a Rebel fleet to share yet (I only have a X-Wing, Y-Wing, and A-Wing).
