How many minor and big encounter is everyone throwing at there players when making their adventures.
Just trying to get feel for what other gm's are doing.
Thanks

Well, it looks like until we get our legs under us, my group is probably walking in baby steps. This last weekend's game, while awesome, was pretty basic and next week I'll probably take one of the canned games out for a spin, something I've not done for 20 years. Once we get a feel for the dice, the system and stop grabbing for the books every half hour, the complexity and creativity will come.
Hmmm... First session went like this:
1 - minor encounter (social)
2 - minor encounter (avoid ambush, have chase)
3 - major encounter (social)
4 - minor encounter (medical crisis - sick passengers on ship)
5 - minor encounter (technical - deal with a bomb on ship)
6 - major encounter (space combat with pirates)
7 - major encounter (combat - boarded by pirates)
8 - minor encounter (social - with Imperial Customs)
Five hour session with a short break for a meal.
Cool thanks
I don't have my core book in front on me but this was in the final Beta update. You can use it as a guideline. It's of course entirely up to you.
The amount awarded depends on the pace the GM wants to set for level advancement. The default reward is 15 XP for one session consisting of one to three major encounters and two to three minor encounters (note, these do not have to be combat encounters) If the GM wants characters to advance quickly and gain new abilities every session, however, he can increase this to 20 XP. Conversely, if he wants his characters to grow slowly (or encourage earning additional XP through roleplaying to Motivations), he can award 10 XP per session.
