Good carrying case

By Jetpack, in X-Wing

I've just started getting my miniatures, so I'm wondering what are you folks using to store the various pieces and cards? Thanks for any suggestions!

Thanks! I should have realized someone else would have asked that question....

i first wanted to just build my own, after actually buying what i needed it was far cheaper to get a battle foam shield case.. i returned everything and went with the battle foam...

I sprang for some Battle Foam trays.

They're pretty good and I opted for a the 432 size bag so I can add extra trays as the next wave(s) come out.

It depends on your fleet size. 4 to 12 small ships and you can do with a Plano case from Walmart or Amazon.com. Larger ships or more than 12 and you'll have to look for options. You can go Battlefoam or the foam tray style storage which gets to be a bit pricey.

I've gone with a plasticase for my imperials. I used a 612 light duty case (2" deep foam so I can recess the tie fighters) from www.plasticase.com and I'm looking at another case for when I get all my order of wave 3 ships.

I have a smaller light duty case for my rebels and I went to a dollar store to get a toolbox with removable containers for storage of my tokens/counters/cards/templates.

Once I have wave 3 ships I'll have to see if I can accommodate everything.

It all depends on how many ships you are looking to have.
