I've been thinking about doing a podcast...

By Simon Retold, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

... so I'm bouncing around ideas for a site, and I've decided on using one of two names. I just don't know which I prefer, at this point. It's either going to be...

  • Jedi Radio (jediradio.com)
    - or -
  • Radio Jedi (radiojedi.com)

I picked up both domains, just because, but now I'm not sure which I'll end up using. Any suggestions?

I would go with either Jedi Radio or, if you will pardon the unasked for suggestion, Radio Free Jedi.

To me Jedi Radio sounds like it is a podcast about Jedi related things. Radio Jedi is a statement that you are a Jedi who has a radio program...or a reference that you are a master of the radio format.

It's clear where your allegiance lies, or you would call it Jedi Free Radio. Rebel scum. :D

No, no, you misunderstand. It is a trap set to CATCH rebel sympathizers. ;-)

The computer is my friend, I am not a commie, mutant, traitor, spy.

As it is there are many Star Wars podcasts out there. And I can honestly say I only listed to two. Can you make it Three. We shall see. . . . . . .

Though I am partial to the idea of "Radio Free Jedi," I think the "Radio Jedi" is the better of the two choices you presented.

Also, this all raises the question of what your podcast will bring to the Star Wars scene? We've got a number of podcasts out there. What makes your distinctive?

I approve of "Radio Jedi", I should think of making a podcast myself. There is so much to say.

It's possible, but who knows? I don't have the kind of connections some have - this is my first attempt at podcasting, after all - but it sounds fun, even if folks don't listen.

I'm not sure what I have to talk about will be different, so much as it just being about creative voice. I'm going to focus on the RPG, but with more movies on the way, the site probably won't be completely about games. That said, I'm going to be discussing hacks and even out of the ordinary setting ideas. This is all just now getting formulated, mixed, and nuked in my head, so it's certainly not all fleshed out yet.

Also, it looks like I'll be going with Radio Jedi, but Jedi Radio will still point there.

Simon,

Holler if you need any advice, brutha. :)
