What does your avatar say about'cha?

By I. J. Thompson, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I went with this avatar since it was the closest I could get to what my character is. Hopefully they will add some Star Wars avatars that I can get behind.

I chose this avatar because all my characters pick the easy path to power, not for thier ease, but for the enjoyment of dealing with the consequences.

I chose this avatar because I"m lazy, and didn't want to look through the Avatars any further. As a bonus, there's only a couple other people using it, so it generally stands out.

I wanted a female avatar because I'm female, and I wanted something sci-fi, not fantasy. That...didn't leave a lot to choose from.

I'm too **** lazy to pick an avatar.

It's slightly more complicated than that. The stupid browser I'm using at work doesn't allow me to pick an avatar. And when I'm at home, I'm just to lazy to spend the 30 seconds to pick an avatar.

Mine says that classic Dracula collars (and most importantly, Gene Colan's "Tomb of Dracula") are pimp as HELL.

Mine says that I like signs....

.........

...

.

Mine not only best encapsulates the frustration levels I experience reading seeminly every result of every roll I ever make in every game I ever play in, but it also comes from a fun board game my daughter enjoys playing. Win-win. Or would that be lose-win. Hmm...

Well mine is showcasing a dragon in action!! Nothing else to add really...

ROAR

I like ancient Egypt.

Oh, and not enough interesting SW icons to choose from.

I use my avatar in support of a safe and secure society

Also doubles as a lovely bull's eye for us Rebel scum to aim at. ;)

Not enough icons for sure. I would much prefer to upload my own icon related to one of my campaigns.

My [non] avatar says I'm mysterious and clouded by the force ... you must look deeply to see my true destiny

Back in the day (when I was in college), I was part of an online X-Wing / TIE Fighter fan community. We played together (especially XvT), discussed current events, and "roleplayed" through a whole bunch of fanfic.

Like most games, I'm not a "top-tier" player but I'm usually decent. So, with the group I was with, my skills would never let me make the cut for "Rogue," but I did land on the "Buccaneer Squadron" list. The Buccs were our wing's heavy lifters, driving the Y-Wings and B-Wings and getting the work done with the Rogues got all the credit and the Corsairs (the A-Wing / Z-95 interceptor squadron) got all the speed.

Mine says two things.

1. I'm sad I can't upload my own.

2. I love FFG's card game: Aye, Dark Overlord!

Mine says that the avatar selection kept bugging out on me.

Mine says:

A) Please give me a broader selection of avatars.

B) I am a Bad Ass Wizard with a Bad Ass Hat.

C) All of the above.

Mine says that I need a haircut, and am otherwise clearly scrupulous.

For some reason on RPG boards that do not allow me to upload pixel art I have made, pictures of Domo-Kun, or handpainted Maya Hieroglyphs, I try to pick something in the ballpark of what I, as a human, resemble.

In retrospect, this is kind of silly of me.

My avatar is a reminder that there is only one true Emperor of the galaxy, and it'll take more than a bunch of teddy bear hippies and a pair of amputees to put him out of business!

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

1. I really like Hey That's My Fish. Everyone I know who has played Hey That's My Fish has loved Hey That's My Fish, including my mum who doesn't do board games. My dad says, 'Can we play that penguin game again?' when I go home.

2. Sometimes my penguins get robbed of fish, or cut off on tiny islands. The avatar shows their fishless anger perfectly.

I bet you didn't know my avatar says this about me:

- that I think the avatar is important to forum identity

- that I wanted an avatar that other people were unlikely to choose

- that I wanted an avatar that's somewhat original and works across several forums

- that I like gritty roleplaying about the darker corners of humanity and heroes as unlikely as the are ugly
