Extra Special Orders

By Chwompy, in A Game of Thrones: The Board Game

If a player places more special orders than they are allowed based upon their place on the influence track, how is that handled by other players?

Obviously he needs to remove one but letting the player choose seems unfair, otherwise everybody would place extra orders and get to make some strategic choices after the orders are revealed.

I didn't see anything in the rules that specifically addressed this situation. Thoughts?

Since the mistake-tolerance rate of this game is apparently low, I would like to ask the same question. Removing all the special order tokens seems a harsh punishment.

i would say it is enough to remove one, which can be choosed by the player who placed it or by the others, depends on the Players, but removing all is a bit to hard.

It depends - is this the first time the mistake has been made, or does this player regularly "forget"?

If this happens often enough for you to see the need to post it on the forum, I would suggest you create a house rule that if you play an extra special order you receive an immediate penalty of moving down one place on the influence track -- thus force the player to remove the extra token plus an additional token (or lose the Raven if they were #1 and move to #2 in a 5-6 player game). This would help ensure that everyone will make sure they do not play an extra token.
