I think push the limit is better than elusiveness if you are going to take a stress token
Yeah I dunno, when doing elusiveness with TIEs I find I'm usually regretting it.
I'd either free up some points for marksmanship, or give them all Veteran Instincts (If you have that many cards). Maybe keep elusiveness on Howlrunner, because she's more likely to get targeted and that Elusiveness can help shrug off the stealth-disabling hit.
Part of the strengths of generics is that they aren't likely to be targeted first by the enemy.
I was thinking of giving all the Black Sq pilots Marksman instead.....just didn't know how helpful that would be only rolling 2 attack dice
I think having swarm tactics on Howlrunner ends up being redundant when the point of the squad is to survive. Having one extra ps8 shot on a tie that is intended to survive beyond the ships that shoot before it anyway doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I would find another EPS to put on Howlrunner that better fits the squad setup. Beyond that I think this list looks really hilarious and like a great time. I think I might give it a try.
Let me know how it plays out since the x-wing players here don't really come around that often
So really I have nothing better to do than sit around and just make lists.....I have a lot

I feel your pain! I'm pretty new to the game and there is only one game store around here that has regular X-wing nights.
RedSkull, where do you live?
I live in Los Angeles. And could you believe there is not a regular X-Wing night in the whole **** city!!!!!

If that is the case in LA, I don't hold much hope for finding much in Salt Lake City...
We are very fortunate. Our X-Wing league meets Tuesday nights and generally has a dozen or more every time.
Also, I think the combination of Stealth and Elusiveness is a good one, though I would rather have Stealth plus Push the Limit so I can have the focus and an evade. Of course, everybody and their sister runs Stealth + PTL so I would definitely give you points for trying something original.
Swarm Tactics in order to boost standard TIEs is a bit of a waste, I would find something else for the points.

Sorry guys I'm all the way on the other coast.....West Virginia player here...There is also only one hobby/comic store in town. We used to have a regular night but hasn't happened in a while

Getting back on track......If I take PTL then I will have to cut points since Stealth devices are 3pts and Elusiveness is only 2pts...PTL is also 3 pts
(pretty sure on those costs....don't have cards in front of me ATM)
I look at voidstate's squadron builder to get point costs like this. Stealth is 3, PTL is 3, so is Marksmanship.
Not many of the 2 point EPTs are going to help TIEs... and of the 1s, I'd take Veteran Instincts or Determination.
As to players, in the bay area we try getting together on Sundays for X-Wing at Game Kastle in Fremont, and I have an opponent for Tuesday nights after 7 for a game. There's also a few that show up on Friday nights at the Santa Clara location.
I thought about Vet Instincts but going from 4 to 6 against the people I play with could be nice but doesn't really make much difference.
There just aren't a lot of low cost pilot skills that give a big a boost to TIEs
Could always just take an academy to free up points and just evade every turn with him

As to the original post, I think it's a fun list to try. Elusiveness is best for making your opponent reroll critical hits, which TIEs are weak to.

I will when I get a chance, unfortunately I work shift work and have been having a hard time getting games together very often but I am hoping I can set something up next week sometime.
Also West Virginia is a little ways away but not that much so if you ever make it up to Toronto get in touch and some games can be had.

Jasonkw, we are trying to get a regular night going at Mind Games on Tuesdays.

That would be cool. I'm in West Jordan so not too far away. Only problem is that I'm a Scoutmaster and scout activities are usually on Tuesday night.
Keep me posted though. I'd love to join sometime!

Have you had a chance to run that idea yet?
I am not sold on PTL on Tie Fighters. Maybe go with named pilots with Stealth devices?
Better PS and you get abilities built in, you could get 5 of them in a 100 pt list with Stealth.
I've been meaning to take a similar build to the table:
Howlrunner + Push The Limit
Backstabber
Dark Curse
BSP + Veteran Instincts x2
All with Stealth Devices...

That's what I thought until he put 3 crits into my hull this weekend. Ignore the gundark at your own risk
I'd either free up some points for marksmanship, or give them all Veteran Instincts (If you have that many cards).
"Marksmanship" really, you've got to be kidding me. Push the Limit is infinately better than marksmanship. I like the evade with the stealth devices, but I would probably go with PTL.

I wouldn't fit marksmanship into this build either, but just to give that card its due.....
After running a 4 Bomber build a few times I have to say that Marksmanship could be an important card if you are in a tournament and expect to see a lot of Bombers. I have had to discard an Assault missile I think 2 out of 3 times on this list. The third time I got that crit on the turn after I shot the missille. So Bombers are very susceptible to crits, raising the value of Marksmanship in certain circumstances.
