It's a Kenner toy off from E-bay. It's far too small for FFG but will function as a frigate or the like.

My custom xwing squad. They were my first attempt at painting anything, ever, but I'm happy with them. I run Wedge in the blue xwing.
Ah, I see. If you're having trouble linking the pictures from another site, make sure you copy and paste the URL that has the IMG tags in it. Otherwise, the FFG forum is going to default to a hypertext link.

I think this is pretty optimal, but I'll be buying more anyway so I can do repaints and such. I really want to get seven more X-wings and a bunch more Y-wings and do a proper Battle of Yavin attack fleet.
Here's the storage system I have currently:
I'm thinking the Rebel box will fit the B-wing in the empties next to the A-wings, but I'll probably need more boxes later anyway for the increases in fleet strength I mentioned. I really want to repaint these eventually, but for now my studies in engineering (not to mention an electronic 1:35 X-wing model) come first.
One little suggestion that I've found really helps. I use a very similar tray for my stuff, and I got some small rubber bands to hold my target lock tokens together in pairs, and the numbered tokens in groups of three. Makes it much easier to find the ones you're looking for, rather than pawing through the little compartment for the match. The bands that are used on braces are perfect, but you can find other ones that work as well. I found a box of 500 in the cosmetics section at Walmart for a buck or two.

yes...it was :-) I played the Rebels, but had to concede after running 40 mins late! I was on the ropes...but may have been able to pull it off.

Yeah, they're way too big for a standard 3'x3' play area. I use them for mission play, like protecting a fleet or raiding Imperial shipping lines. I've worked up some basic stats for them, and some of the guys actually like them.
nice to see another new thread about fleet showing, i don't even wanna go digging for my old one. Once wave 3 arrives i'll get some new pics of my fleet entirety and get some more pics up
