In a pinch, you could use the SEGOE UI SYMBOLS font.
Fonts for EOTE Symbols?
New to the forums and sorta new to role playing games. As of last week, this is the first game I've played that didn't come out of a Beginner's Box.

I'm wondering if the fonts or symbols used in the writing are available anywhere for anything someone might write on their own. Can someone point me in the right directrion for those?
Sorry if this is pointed out already. I'm not just a n00b. I am an eternal n00b.
Wait a moment - you're winding me up! You're not new!!!
Anyway, here's the font I use for my documents I have no idea where I found it, but it looks and works great

Look again. The post you quoted was from July 2013 , back when she probably was new, Desslok.
Yeah. This was my first post here ever and it keeps crawling up out of the sarlac pit to remind me that 14 year old me gave my dad/gm some lame Fathers Day gifts...

I agree with them.
About two seconds after posting, I referred to your page FangGrip and there it was. <Facepalm>

The only down side is that it is a licensed font only. I bought it for $30 from the linked site, but I don't know if you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
Hey folks! Starting to make good use of some of this stuff now, much thanks for those who contributed!
I'm using the super awesome EotESymbol-Regular font. Does anybody have the color codes for each of the dice?
Thanks!

Nevermind, answered my own question by using an eyedropper on the images. Here they are in case anyone else is interested, in R,G,B format:
Boost Blue: 114, 204, 219
Difficulty Purple: 82, 36, 128
Challenge Red: 209, 35, 42
Ability Green: 63, 172, 73
Proficiency Yellow: 255, 241, 0
Hi.
Thx for the font, it's really usefull for me to make documents for my players. I modified the font to make it easy to use for my keyboard. AZERTYUI are assigned to the dice symbols and QSDFGH for the dice forms and yes I'm french, it's more ergonomic for me. plus, I fixed the uppercase problem because when I put a symbol, word automatically put a uppercase and make it dissapear (until I cancel the automatic change).
But I've questions about copyrights. Can I broadcast it on french forums with unofficial mention? I want to help others gamers, but I don't want to be out of the law and bring problem to the forum where I usually go.
You know, if they havent raised a stink so far, I don't see why they would now.
My question - did you (or anyone) update the Force Die from the EotE and AoR to the F&D one?
We never know. sometimes someone wake up to this kind of stuff and bring the flame of hell.
I haven't updated the dice yet because i don't have the need to, F&D isn't released in France (but he will be).
Perhaps I missed it, but what's different about the Force Die in F&D?

I think what they mean is the notation changed is all. In EotE they use the Light side and Dark side pips, but later on, they introduced the half-and-half pips that mean you can use either Light OR Dark to activate something.
I made this font with the help from Aazlain's font and some others. can someone tell me if it's more ergonomic or not ?

Okay, can we get the file shared on a page that doesn't have every "Download your file now!" link point to spam or malware? Christ, I hate pages like that! They hide the real get your file link, tricking you into installing crap or getting a russian bride with an extended ***** mortgage.

I find MediaFire for myself to be a better option than even drop box.
I agree with Desslok that a better file share than something that front loads the link with possible spam and malware would be preferable. Would like to get the font file though.
sorry, but i don't have any problem with usercloud. I already downloaded plenty of file with it and no problem about malware or spam or anything else. i use noscript (similar to adblock) and I have no problem.

These look GREAT! I'm assuming you did the black outlines for the colored dice in Photoshop or some similar program?
These are .png versions of some of the font's icons. I simply added those to illustrate the post.
The font is a regular open type, black and transparent font. It can be used in any application once installed on your system. What you can do with it depends on the application you are using.
Word will give you little control. You can add a black border to the symbols with "text effects" but I don't think you can adjust the width of the border. Edit: I stand corrected, border size can also be adjusted in word . Other more sophisticated page layout apps, such as indesign, will give you a lot more control.
I've been trying to put outlines around my symbols using this font in Word. The instructions in the link point me to the text effects > outline, but "outline" is grayed out (can't select it). I'm not sure why. I had assumed that it couldn't be done to this custom made font of Aazlain's, but then I found his message above that suggests it should work. Has anyone added outlines to these symbols using Word? I've found a way to do it using WordArt, but it's a pain in the arse and creates other problems.
Sorry, but i don't know myself.
I tried some weeks with no results. when i want to use a colored dice symbol, i use PNG file with render of dices symbols. It's the only way i know.
To avoid problems in word, when you type symbols, use the symbols in the Aazlain's font (or mine ;-) ), and after when you finish writing and make your layout, you can put colored symbols (the png files) using the setting "before the text" to put your colored symbols above the one without color.
you can also use some word art in the same way with the setting "before the text" or "above the text" (I don't know which one i the good one, I'm french and in my version, it's "devant le texte")
I'm able to get it done with WordArt. It's just a little more time consuming then I had hoped. It involves converting this font to WordArt. Then recoloring since WordArt removes colors during the conversion. Then reducing the font size a bit to match the original text since it grows a bit during conversion. Then setting the text wrapping to "In Line with Text" (English version). Then making groups out of your symbols. Then placing them which can be very tricky. And finally it seems the WordArt's grid is very slightly high upon the sentence grid which I've been unable to fix (not very noticeable, but I did notice it).
Thus, my hope that there was a way to simply change to the font to outlined like with other fonts.
This is uber helpful!
Thank you VERY much!
