What's the strength of a Manipulator Mechadendrite?

By MagnusPihl, in Dark Heresy Second Edition Beta

The Manipulator Mechadendrite can be used in melee as if it was a Warhammer.

The damage of a Warhammer is 2d10+Sb, but the Manipulator Mechadendrite doesn't have its Strength Bonus listed.

It does mention adding +20 to Strength tests, but damage isn't a Strength test and it's only supposed to apply to carrying and lifting objects anyway.

Should it use the user's Strength Bonus? That seems weird. One of the cool things about Tech-Priests was their ability to let machines do the heavy lifting and manage with a low personal Strength.

Speaking of which - does it make sense that it's a +20 to Strength when lifting things? It used to be based on the Mechadendrite's Strength.

Any thoughts on this? Is it an oversight in the book, or am I missing something?

If we're strictly following RAW here, I'd go with saying it uses the strength bonus of the character using the mechadendrite. But that really makes no sense, I think this needs to be changed. Go back to giving the arm its own strength rating, just base it on quality.
