I have to tell you guys about my groups most memorable time playing edge of the empire so far. As you've probably guessed from the title we a little mutiny on our ship and as epic a night as it was I hope never to it again! Since we don't use each others character names For this post I'm going to use nicknames for my people based on their role in our group and here they are-----talkietwilek-----fixer girl-----crazywhiteboy(crazy for short-he's a bountyhunter)-----cowardly doctor-----shootermcGANDin(another bountyhunter who's a Gand)-----and me wookie marauder death(I'm always easy to find :-)
This night we had 2 new people who made characters and joined our crew. One was playing a droid inspired by hk-47 and the other was a standard wook who I think was a colonist or something. Starting the whole misadventure was when the GM tells us when we get back to our we find wookie skins. Well talkietwilek thinks this a chance to make some money but as a wookie I tell them in no uncertain terms that's not going to happen and the other wook echoes my sentiment. Talkie twilek sets up his turret in the in the cockpit facing out and I pull out my sword and knife and stand guard over the wookie skins silently daring anyone to try to take them.
Fixer girl and crazy end up trying to stun talkie because they realize he's not going to back down on this and neither are the wooks. While that's going on shooter is making friends with the 2 new players, talking in hushed tones and planning things mutinous. When the arguing starts our doctor declares he's hiding and disappears off the map. While I'm in the cargo bay guarding the skins shooter hk-47 part2 and new wookie come up to me and ask if ill join them in taking over the ship and after a few minutes of trying to convince me they realize I'm not going to help them. They pull out their guns to shoot me with their blaster rifles on stun setting(I didn't even know the droid had a blaster rifle but I guess shooter had an extra one for him). Well with both of their stun attacks they manage to knock me out.
With me down the mutineers figure they have an easy time taking out the rest since me and crazy are the only real fighters and crazy lost one of his hands to a well placed storm trooper shot while we trying to help some droid revolutionary earlier. They head into the room next to the cockpit where crazy and fixer girl are having spent the whole time trying to get talkie out of the cockpit. As soon as they leave the room where I'm out like a drunk after st. Patties day doctor comes out of hiding to get me on my big furry feet and declares he's going back into hiding(a real yajirobe moment-dragonballz reference)
The conversation between all of them goes like this: mutineers "we're taking the ship wubba wubba" (i added the wubba wubba because i cant remember everything they said and at this point i decided i didnt like them) crazy pulls out a thermal detonator and threatens to blow us all up if they don't back down. Well they didn't back down so crazy drops the grenade at his own feet with shooter failing a coordination roll to catch it. KABOOOM!!! The blast hits fixer girl, crazy and shooter almost but not quite killing each of them. Wookie who hasn't actually attacked anyone tells us he was just helping shooter because of a life debt and carries him to the back of the ship doing a medical check which saves shooters life. Hk comes back into the room where he finds me standing up looking ANGREE! He shoots at me but doesn't bring me down then and this was the best part of the whole night, I ran up and slagged that metal ....er!!! We locked the bad guys in a holding cell so the GM could tell us they managed to escape on a later adventure. I think he's found adversaries for us encounter later on. Oh and I later found out shooters motivation was power and hks was infamy so I guess they were playing to those. I probably forgot a lot of stuff but I wanted to give you guys the jist of it.
