My best friend has started collecting the Game of Thrones lcg. He has the stater set and all the deluxe expansions already!

So I want to get him some of the chapter packs but I don't know were to start, there just seems to be so many.

His favourite deck so far appear to be house Targaryen with their dragons, and house Baratheon with King Stannis and his knights.

Does anybody have any good ideas which chapter packs to get him, or if this has been discussed elsewhere, a link?

The question of what to buy next does indeed pop up fairly often, but it needs very individual answers, so it's hard to just give you links.

Generally, I would recommend to buy chapter packs from the same cycle, as opposed to a mishmash of packs from different cycles, since cp cycles usually provide some synergy.

For both Targ and Baratheon, I like the Beyond the Narrow Sea cycle. If you don't want to buy the whole cycle in one go, make sure you get at least A Roll of the Dice for Meereenese Fighting Pit (one of the very best cards for Dragon decks in the entire game) and Valar Morghulis for Incinerate and the new Stannis.

A good alternative would be the Tales of Champions cycle, which has a lot of very good cards for Targ, and some nice ones for Bara. Important packs here are Trial by Combat (Meraxes, Dagon Knight), Tourney for the Hand (Knight of Flowers, Ser Barristan) On Dangerous Grounds (Meereen Tourney Grounds, Fiery Kiss) and Where Loyalty Lies (Daario, Jorah, Davos).
