If a player wants to purchase a 2nd rank in a talent he already has, does it cost him the same amount of experience to purchase the 2nd rank or is it doubled? Ie. player has 1 rank in "toughened" (5 xp in the hired gun talent tree) and wants to purchase 2nd rank, would it cost 10 xp? Or just 5 xp?

Each rank must be purchased at a different spot on the talent tree (or in a different tree). Once a particular box is used it can't be used again.

If your talent tree has toughened it will be deeper in the tree and it would cost more . I don't think you buy the same talent twice from the same row

As an aside, if your spec tree has the talents of Grit and Toughened for 5xp, you're insane if you don't ****** those up ASAP.
