I have 6 Ties and I would like at least 7 for the standard 6 plus Howlrunner.

A) Should I purchase 1 more cores (for a total of 3 cores and 2 tie expansions)?

B) Should I purchase 1 more tie expansion (for a total of 2 cores and 3 tie expansions)?

The other (main???) reason I ask is because different upgrade cards come with the kits.

I have 7, with one tie expansion, 3 core. That works fine with me. . It's up to you I think. Check the thread about what comes in each expansion.

If you want a Swarm Tactics chain, you'll want the extra TIE fighter expansion. But getting a third Core Set is certainly nice because it gives you 8 TIE fighters total, which is something I'm interested in trying out. I hear 7 Academy Pilots with "Dark Curse" is pretty brutal.

It is currently my favourite squad to play, but you better practice maneuvering at home before playing that many ships. It can be quite a task just to get that many ships to maneuver into the right position to concentrate fire without bumping into too many of your own ships or asteroids.

I should have mentioned that I already have two Tie Advanced so that give me 4 (four) Swarm Tactics. Unless you think I need more I should be fine.

But I never considered he complication of piloting 7 or 8 Ties at once.

I'm wondering if it is worth it... I'll stop by Target and see if there's a clearance, otherwise maybe I'll hold off.
