There's no ''number of cards on table'' limit, right?

By Tagek, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hey all,

Me and my group of friends have been playing under the rule that you can only have a combination of 8 characters and locations in play at the same time.

Yes, we got this info from the tutorial video(s).

I recently read a thread where someone claimed that what they said in the video was a mistake, and there is, in fact, no ''max cards on table'' limit. Is this correct?

Any answers would be appreciated. Also, I'd appreciate a link / directions to a written ''official'' answer that makes this clear, because I wasn't able to find it in the FAQ. (Not saying it's not in there, I just didn't see it)

There is no rule for max number of cards on the table. You won't find a rule about it because no such rule exists.

What's missing is the rule that actually limits the number of cards in play. You won't see that either. That would trump anything said in a tutorial video. The answer is that there is no maximum number of cards that can be in play.

Well rule wasn't the right word. I heard somewhere that it might be mentioned in the FAQ, but I did not find it.

To my knowledge there is no mention in any rule book / FAQ of anything of the kind
