I bought several today for the express purpose of making customs, even some uglies.

In Atlanta there was one Target that had them on clearance earlier this week. Its the one around Druid Hills Road.

I had been thinking of buying this game for a little while so on friday when I saw it at target for $20 I jumped at the chance. This was Iowa City, IA, this might have been the only one so on a weekend trip to galesburg IL I snagged 2 more. They had about 8 left. So $60 got me 6 ties and 3 x wings pretty good buisness I say. Will it be worth getting the individual xwing and ties for the cards?

Great buy. The unique pilots that come with the X-wing and Tie expansion packs are pretty great and give your game a little more variety. But play with what you have and make sure you like the game enough to really start investing some money (I'm sure you will). It's pretty hard to come by expansions at the moment anyway, so when you are ready to start getting more ships you may have to spend some time searching the internet and local games stores, Barnes & Noble, etc to expand your fleet. Have fun

I thought these kind of hobbies were expensive until my wife ordered $250 worth of makeup online this morning. $10 - 15 for an A wing represents good value for money by comparison.

Howlrunner and Wedge are very good pilot upgrades. You will not be disappointed in having them.

Well in that case, go crazy! My wife hardly ever spends a lot of money on herself so every time i buy another ship i feel a little guilty. She doesn't even care and never gives me a hard time about it. I got to buy her some flowers or something :-)

Yes sir! I'm not sure I'll ever use the 7 ties I have now at once and only rarely can I see myself running 4 X-Wings...but I couldn't pass a bargain like that by!

Anyway, the moral of my story is to keep checking, because the discounts are still coming in some places at least!
