Core sets just hit 70% off at my local target today. $11.98, I had to pick up one at that price! I'm located in the Orlando area for those wondering.

If anyone else sees core's that cheap, please post. At 50% I'm tempted to buy, but don't really need to. At 70%, I'd buy a few. An extra for myself and maybe a couple as gifts to help get friends into it. So I'd apreciate people posting if they see similar deals so I can know if I should keep an eye out or if $12 for the Core was a fluke. Thanks all

I've got to ask you where. I am just south of Seattle and have been driving to different targets for the past three weeks trying to find these on clearance and haven't found any below 39.99. Several of the stores in the area have literally dozens of them but nothing on sale. I saw somewhere the southcenter store had them at 19.99, but they sold out.

Please let me know if you can.

On that note, does anyone have any idea why some targets are clearancing these out and others are hoarding them at full price? I am not seeing much of a correlation. Most of the target stores I have been to have huge endcaps with loads of clearance product, but nothing from FFG that I have seen.

Spoke to target yesterday.

70% is one of their clearance prices, they also have 30%, etc.

And each store is different. It depends on sales, stock etc...

And different stores run clearances at different times.

Or they're just telling me nonsense to get me to leave

@RBX10: Wife said she got them at the Issaquah store. Think she grabbed the last two. She also said she had been at another target recently (most likely the Kent) and they were sold out or not $11.99.

I work directly next to the Southcenter location and was thinking of going over during lunch to look.

From what my wife said, Target does 2 big toy clearance sales a year?? She just happened to be looking around for some Marvel toys for my godson and spotted the the X-wings.

Oh, and on mine the $12 was the second clearnace sticker on it. I didnt peel it back but, it might have been $19.98 on the first one.

Bit late on the response, but yes that is the one. There were only a couple left last night however, so if you haven't gone by yet I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I went to the Lakewood store today and they had OVER 20! Unfortunately they were still 39.99, however. At this point I am not too convinced there is much rhyme or reason to the way Target prices stuff, lol. I would have guessed that a store with so many in stock would definitely want to offload them for sure.

Anyhow, I digress. I will keep searching in hopes of that 11.99 (or even 19.99) sweet spot. I could use a few more TIEs and Xwings and I really want to pick up a few of these to get my buddies into the game.

I saw a bunch (maybe 7) at the target in the Champions area on 1960 in Houston. All priced at $12. I left them there though I admit I kept wondering if I could have some possible excuse for buying them.

I bought a core set from the Target in Albany, GA for $20 a couple of weeks ago, well maybe 3. I had already ordered a core set before that on Barnes & Noble because I had earned enough in gift cards on a survey site to get it for free. These are my first 2 sets of X-Wing as I am new to the game. Then last weekend while in Macon, GA which is 2 hours north of Albany, I saw they had at least a dozen sets for $20. I am going to be in Albany tomorrow & will check to see if they went down to $12 but they only had a couple left after I bought mine.

Target on union I tacoma was full price last time I looked.

Omy wife looked for it in Des Moines, Iowa last night I don't know which one she visited but was still 39.99. Am looking for more so can sell on to my recent converts to have others to play and they can play each other without coming to my house.

Same here in DFW. No discounts at Targets yet... BUT - will Target match the price at other Target stores, regardless of location (State)?... I wonder....

To everyone looking in Austin, the few stores that clearanced them at that 11$ price already sold out (I didn't get any ) and the rest have them at full price.

Dang, which stores had then at the clearance price? I checked the north stores today-- sadly, you are right.

The one by southwest parkway and one other I can't recall. Both south though. It's the ones that say limited stock on the website

i went to southpark meadows target yesterday, called ben white and brodie/290 targets, all were at regular price or sold out.

I called a couple local stores until I found one with the discounted core set. They just had one left but I was able to snag it. If you call a local store, just give the operator this number, 087-10-0257 they can tell you if it's in stock, how many they have, and the price.

@ kippryon: I don't belive they will match a clearance price. No matter what.

My buddy went and cleaned out our local Target for $12 each. I thought I had enough core sets, but at that price, got 2 more. One I'll keep because I needed another X-wing; the other one will probably become a gift. $12! Making it really hard to justify spending the $15 on the X-wing expansion that I still don't have...

If anyone out there manages to score a copy on the cheap, I'm looking for a copy to give to my friend. If you pick it up, I'll pay shipping costs if we figure it out beforehand! PM me if you're interested!
