Why do they all do tearing damage? I cannot see any appropriate talents that would add this and bolters do not do tearing damage in the standard rules do they?

They Errated it. Every Bolt weapon has Tearing.

Ahhh that makes so much sense. Might be time for me to print off the errata and stick it into the main rulebook...
