Haas-Bioroid Deck List

By Cross and Key, in Android: Netrunner Deck Building

I have recently gotten into the game and absolutely love the concept. Between the LCG format itself and the asynchronous gameplay, I feel like Netrunner is one of the coolest games on the market right now. Add in the fact that I work at a LGS and I get a fair amount of opportunity to demo the game. Here's the issue: a large number of my games are my own decks against themselves. We are starting to grow our community (we just got our TO Kits in yay!) but for the most part there are about three of us that are consistent players. That doesn't leave a whole lot of experimentation or real learning curve against much. So what I was hoping is that I could get some feedback on my decklists and some ideas for where to tweak and what to leave alone. They all play fairly well right now, but I know they can all be fine tuned. Thanks for the help!

Deck Concept: Wield huge economy and combo ice to dare the runner to try a run. Threaten brain damage. Make sure they can only run once by using a mixture of Hourglass and click-broken ices. Janus is there to be a threat, with the economy as it is, it should be effective as sitting around the 15 credit mark is relatively doable.

Deck Concept: Wield huge economy and combo ice to dare the runner to try a run. Threaten brain damage and/or tags and tempt them with high point agendas and my economy sitting in the remotes to make them try. Make sure they can only run once by using a mixture of Hourglass and click-broken ices. Janus is there to be a threat, with the economy as it is, it should be effective as sitting around the 15 credit mark is relatively doable.

First of all, no influence used? Yeesh. Always use as much influence as you can (I'd never use less than 14 influence).

Huge Economy? I'm not really seeing it. Where are the Hedge Funds? Where is Melange?

Brain Damage honestly isn't a huge threat and HB is terrible at tagging. I wouldn't ride that wagon at all.

Only 17 ice? Yikes....that is a really low count. for a 49 card deck, 19 is usually the minimum I'd risk. 20-21 would be preferred.

Priority Requisition x1

Mandatory Upgrades is stupid hard to score. Especially with your lack of ICE and a rather limited economy (for HQ). Mandatory Upgrades is really only worth it in a Fast Advance deck....even then I'd only take 1. Corporate War would probably be a better fit (or Private Security Force).

Assets

Adonis Campaign x3

Eve Campaign x3

Looks good, though I would squeeze 3 melange in there.

Upgrades

Ruhr Valley x2

Ash 2X3ZB9CY x2

Ruhr Valley can be useful on centrals and Ash is always good (though maybe Corporate Trouble Shooter might be better...play around with it.

Operations

Biotic Labor x3

Green Level Clearance x3

Shipment From MirrorMorph x2

Rework x2

I'd ditch rework. Never seen it used in a useful manner. Shipment from MirrorMorph is hard to make full use of and is more useful when playing horizontal (NBN and Jinteki find it more useful).

ICE

Rototurret x1

Janus 1.0 x1

Viper x2

Viktor 1.0 x2

Heimdall 1.0 x2

Sherlock 1.0 x2

Eli 1.0 x2

Ichi 1.0 x2

Hourglass x3

Honestly Hourglass isn't that great. One of the local guys uses it a lot and Yog.0 just chews through it (needs help from something of course, but that isn't hard to do). Plus it is EXPENSIVE to res.

Sherlock is utter crap, I'd ditch it.

Heimdall is.....average? He's expensive and not the greatest subroutines. E3 shuts him down pretty hard. Play around with him a bit. I'll take him every now and then.

Janus is....pretty bad. He's really, really hard to rez without oversight (and honestly for 15 credits, I'd rather have 2 tollbooths for 1 credit more). E3 also eats him alive.

Besides Eli and Viktor, you don't have any cheap ICE, I think the runners are going to just blow through this deck. Enigma, Wall of Static, any thing cheap to rez is great.

Overall, it definitely needs more focus, probably more burst economy, and definitely more (and cheaper) ice.

Is it even worth keeping the deck together in it's current state or should I completely restart?

More like it's a bit all over the place. I'd focus on 1 or 2 strategies. You really don't have enough ice for a big-ice deck to make firing off a beta test worth the risk (you can always choose not to fire off the effect of course).

You really don't have the cards to make pure fast advance.

And not really enough assets to play a horizontal game.

You are good an nuking clicks off of the runner.....but no way to capitalize on the tempo advantage.

So I've rebuilt the whole deck. It's basically meant to just hold onto a ton of money, ICE heavily, and threaten tons of brain damage. Basically I'm waiting for Creation and Control to come out for a main theme other than Money + damage = wins.

Honestly HB's best build has been fast-advance. I can't wait to try out money+damage. It'll be a lot different from the current competitive builds and a nice change.

Just picked up CnC from the local store myself. Really looking forward to trying new things out. Already modified my Andromeda deck to be even more disgusting and broken.

You don't need 22 agenda points for a legal list. I'd ditch something.

Melange would be another great choice

I don't think you actually need beanstalk in this deck at all....but it is cheap.

Janus is just so stupidly hard to rez. I just...don't like using him at all. Always feels like wasted space in my deck. Then again, I play fast-advance and usually can't afford to spend the creds on him.

TMI isn't really needed. Eli 1.0 is a great barrier and you already have ice wall.

2-3 Ichi 1.0 is also great. Runners will usually take the time to build up enough money to break him. And if you can pull a surprise Ichi rez mid-game when the runner is just starting to build up a rig, it's really entertaining (I don't rez him until the runner has 1-2 programs out).
