Noise Deck List

By Cross and Key, in Android: Netrunner Deck Building

I have recently gotten into the game and absolutely love the concept. Between the LCG format itself and the asynchronous gameplay, I feel like Netrunner is one of the coolest games on the market right now. Add in the fact that I work at a LGS and I get a fair amount of opportunity to demo the game. Here's the issue: a large number of my games are my own decks against themselves. We are starting to grow our community (we just got our TO Kits in yay!) but for the most part there are about three of us that are consistent players. That doesn't leave a whole lot of experimentation or real learning curve against much. So what I was hoping is that I could get some feedback on my decklists and some ideas for where to tweak and what to leave alone. They all play fairly well right now, but I know they can all be fine tuned. Thanks for the help!

Deck Concept: Overload HQ and R&D by consistently running on them with Nerve Agent and Medium. Continue to shutdown the ice by Deja'ing the Parasites and shooting them with Wyrms. Darwin for utility, and Morning Star for brute force, the hope is for the light economy manipulation with the Cyberfeeders to allow for a fast blast on Central for shutdown.

Not a bad idea. Datasucker will help out a lot as well. Wyrm is crap. Morning Star is below-average (takes up too much memory). Darwin can be useful, but also has a lot of risks.

Cyberfeeders are always useful.

Only 2 influence? Try bumping that up to 14-15.

Hardware

Grimoire x2

Cyberfeeder x3

Looks good, a third Grimoire would be awesome as well.

Programs

Nerve Agent x2

Medium x2

Parasite x3

Djinn x2

Corroder x2

Force of Nature x2

Wyrm x2

Darwin x1

Morning Star x1

Pipeline x2

I think you have too many breakers. Morning Star and Wyrm can be cut right away. Bump Darwin up to 3 copies (or go 2 and 2 with Darwin Crypsis or just 3 Crypsis).

I'd replace Force of Nature with Yog.0.

3 Datasuckers would be amazing to add.

2-3 Imp would also be amazing.

Corroder is awesome.

Mimic or Femme would be good sentry breakers.

Events

Demolition Run x3

Deja Vu x3

Surge x3

Sure Gamble x2

Demo Run is very hard to pull off surprisingly. If you take it at all, 2 copies should be good. Stimhack is a great addition (especially with Personal Workshop).

Needs a third Sure Gamble.

Resources

Kati Jones x2

Public Sympathy x1

Xanadu x1

Wyldside x1

Ice Carver x2

Liberated Accounts x3

All looks good (though you really don't need Xanadu). Wyldeside is amazing and really drives a Noise economy. However you do need Aesop's Pawnshop to turn it off if it gets out of hand. If you take Wyldeside, go with 3 copies. If you don't take Wyldeside, go with Diesel or Quality Time.

Public Sympathy really isn't needed.

2 Armitage might be useful just to get some better economy. All those viruses are expensive (or just load up on personal workshop).

Overall, not terrible, but could use some work.

Is the third Grim worth putting in knowing that having a second is already a dead card slot?

Morning star is an easy cut. Wyrm is meant to combo with Parasite; partially as a shotgun effect, partially to free up memory on Djinn quicker. Is that not worth doing?

I just used Darwin in my first game with it and I really like it. I can easily understand that up slotting.

Is Force really not as good as Yog? I saw Yog and didn't like that it can't boost it's own strength. Force's double blasting seemed good. Or am I just overestimating that weakness on Yog? I have that same issue with Mimic.

Femme just seems too pricey for the deck, I looked at it. Or was I wrong to think that as well?

Drop Demo to 2. I've not used Personal workshop, what is it's benefit? Stimhack honestly scares me to use since it's guaranteed brain damage. If I did put it in is it worth keeping the Public symp?

The third gamble I need to get back from a friend.

Swap out Xanadu for another Wyldside, the demo drop gives me a slot for an Aesop.

What should I do for the other armitage?

Is the third Grim worth putting in knowing that having a second is already a dead card slot?

It's more that you want Grimoire into play as fast as you can. 3 copies gives you a 30% chance of drawing it in your opening hand. 2 of them is only a 21% chance.

Morning star is an easy cut. Wyrm is meant to combo with Parasite; partially as a shotgun effect, partially to free up memory on Djinn quicker. Is that not worth doing?

It can be used like that, but it costs a lot of creds to pull off. Remember you have to match strength first before you can reduce the strength of ice.

I just played against Noise today and had a rezzed tollbooth with parasite (one counter) on it....and it would have cost Wyrm 10 credits to trash it.

Even with 3 counters it'd take 6 credits to trash tollbooth with Wyrm.

I've seen decks using Wyrm + Parasite + Datasucker + Ice Carver. It just takes a lot of time and resources to build up.

Is Force really not as good as Yog? I saw Yog and didn't like that it can't boost it's own strength. Force's double blasting seemed good. Or am I just overestimating that weakness on Yog? I have that same issue with Mimic.

There aren't a lot of great code gates above strength 3, and even those can easily be broken with Yog.0. And it is really easy to help/boost Yog.0. Personal Touch, Parasite, Datasucker, Ice Carver, Dinosarus, etc. Yog.0 is regarded as one of the best decoders in the game.

Same goes for Mimic. The anarch fixed breakers are extremely powerful....hell my Andromeda deck runs Mimic, Yog.0, and Corroder along with 3 datasuckers. I've never had trouble breaking through ice.

Femme just seems too pricey for the deck, I looked at it. Or was I wrong to think that as well?

Being able to bypass things like Tollbooth and Flare for 1 credits is awesome. Or something like a super advanced ice wall or hadrian's wall. It is very pricey, but 1 or 2 copies can be very useful. Especially on tollbooth......I hate going up against tollbooth......

Drop Demo to 2. I've not used Personal workshop, what is it's benefit?

Stimhack honestly scares me to use since it's guaranteed brain damage. If I did put it in is it worth keeping the Public symp?

Possibly. I've never felt the need for it. As for the brain damage, eh, usually you use stimhack for your super run on Archives or RnD (medium dig) or to get a bunch of card to install things off of Personal Workshop.

You, know, I don't think you really need the ice carver at all. Something like maybe cut Ice Carver and one other card for two copies of stimhack....or anything else of flavor, really. A third Sure Gamble is always a good choice.

Other than that, it definitely looks workable to me.

Switched out the Ice Carver for the third sure gamble.Without Public Sympathy I don't like the idea of Stimhack.
