Non-ranked talent and multi-specialisation

By aljovin, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I don't know if it's a unique situation, but one that one of my player has asked.

Say for example, the PC is a Bounty-Hunter Survivalist, and he has bought the "Heroic Fortitude" talent (25xp).

Later in the PC's life, he takes on the Hired Gun Marauder specialisation. Is the "Heroic Fortitude" a "free" talent? Meaning that he can spend 5XP for "Feral Strenght", then another 10XP for "Knockdown"? OR does the PC has to re-pay the 10XP for the talent?

I know that in this specific example, there is another route to get the talents, but for the sake of the example, what would you do with this situation? Potentially, there are other situations similar (though I haven't found them yet).

If you have bought a non-ranked talent from another tree, you are considered to have bought it in other specialization trees you buy into.

So in your example, he wouldn't have to buy it a second time.

I think it's logical, but is it specified in the rulebook? If you have a page number (or a rough idea what section it should be in), I'd appreciate!

Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind, page 93, just found out!

Page 128. Begins at the 5th paragraph.

Huh, it is there as well. Sigh, so much duplication of text in this rulebook.

I bet the total amount of duplicated text is a mere fragment of a percent.

Besides, I'd prefer important rules being called out more than once than having them buried in one specific, hard-to-find spot.

Agreed, but then again, I've missed it.... twice! In my defense, I didn't read the book through yet! ;)
