Updated FAQ and Tourniment Rules are HERE!

Ok who noticed that the Card shown by FF as a PDF for daredevil says, Execute a Red Turn 1 left or Red turn 1 right Maneuver.

But the FAQ says, "Execute a White Turn 1 left or White Turn 1 right Maneuver. So which is right?

Oooh, Daredevil just got better!!??

Finally the Backstabber question is answered:

Q: When exactly can Backstabber trigger his ability?

A: Backstabber triggers his ability only if no portion of his base is inside any of the printed firing arcs on the defender’s ship token.

So he's a sidestabber against a Firespray. Interesting...

No, Daredevil did not get any better. This just resolved the issue about whether or not performing a Daredevil turn causes the ship to gain stress (it does).

Daredevil may have gotten a touch better. It will still give you a Stress token when finished but it isn't a red maneuver so you could potentially use it while stressed if you could take actions.

I just realized that Tycho Celchu just became the ultimate Daredevil. Before it was useless because although he could perform the action, he couldn't perform the maneuver. Now, he can perform Daredevil regardless of stress.

It also got a touch worse too - Now the Daredevil + r2 + X-wing (+engine upgrade) doesn't work, since even though the maneuver is green - it still gives you stress after you perform it, not that a lot of people were running that combination.

Now it seems Dark Curse is immune to the Blaster Turret as you need to spend a focus token to fire it... odd indeed.

That is incredibly odd.

Yes, that is odd. And apparently he's immune to Deadeye, too.

The weirdest ruling, in my opinion, is that R2-D2 recovers a shield before he hits an asteroid, but after he hits the proximity mines. I think I can see why, but it makes it a bit confusing to explain to a newcomer. I'm sure I'd get the incredulous "you're-trying-to-pull-a-fast-one-on-me" kind of look. But it is what it is.

Wow, FAQs went from three to six pages with a whole lot of new answers. Homing missiles are a lot cooler than I originally thought. Thank you FFG!

If this is accurate, dark curse just became the new hotness ( not that dark curse wasn't good enough already )

IMO this is made to favour an attacker, where obstacles are a neutral object

The PDF image, of course, is the card as it was printed. The FAQ establishes errata to the card which alters the printed version. That's how errata works. The corrected version of the card text is presented in the FAQ, therefore the maneuver is white.

Am I the only one who noticed that the Star Wars dice app is legal in place of actual dice? I wonder how that will go over with the folks that don't believe that apps can be 100% statistically random

That's not new. Dice App has been tournament legal per the rules for quite some time.

Guess I never noticed before... carry on :)

Unless you're firing a Homing Missile at him as you don't spend the Focus token to do so. However you can't use that Focus token to modify the die roll for the missile shot.

I think you are confusing focus tokens with target locks. Dark Curse doesn't affect target locks. Homing missiles will work fine against him.

Deadeye + Homing Missile + Focus = Legal shot at any target in range. Dark Curse included, since the Focus doesn't have to be spent.

Can't spend your Target Lock to reroll against him with the Homing Missiles though.

If you want him dead, Marksmanship kills Dark Curse:

You're not spending Focus token nor are you rerolling dice, but you are converting Focus symbols to hits!

Q: If a ship using Cluster Missiles hits with
the first attack, but then misses with the
second attack, can he still use Gunner/
Luke Skywalker even though the first
attack hit?
A: Yes. Each attack granted by Cluster Missiles is
distinct, so either attack can trigger Gunner/Luke
Skywalker.
Q: If a ship using Cluster Missiles misses
with the first attack and then triggers
Gunner/Luke Skywalker, can it still perform
the remaining attack granted by Cluster
Missiles?
A: Yes.
Q: If a ship attacks, misses, and triggers
Gunner/Luke Skywalker, can it target
a different ship for the primary weapon
attack?
A: Yes.

So if you read this could could get 7 or 8 damage if you miss? Does the gunner kick in both misses? Due to the No other attack this round on the gunner and Luke are now void for this kind of missile.

Due to how they answered this it tells me A: they are ______ or B. They don't play the game.
