Thinking of a name for the second ship, I will name the first one Tarkin for sure.

Ideas welcome.

How about Opressive (sp?) Burden

I would have named them Death and Taxes but since one is Tarkin perhaps the other can be Morigan, for the goddes of death and ravens.

Are they only going to have docking rings on the one side? The OCD part of me thinks they should be symmetrical, but they're your models, so it's cool either way.

I love that the guns can elevate and swivel! Neat!

Actually, I like the asymmetrical docking ports. Lends an air of verisimilitude to them I think.

This models are looking greater and greater.

It also limits where/how they can dock, though. Manyother ships have them on both sides, and even top/bottom. For instance, what if two of them wanted to dock side by side, as in one of the above photos? One of them would have to come about, and I can't see them wanting to be asswards if there are rebels about.

Of course, given they have gravity plating (or whatever it was that allows them to stick to the floor, the Falcon 's gunnery seats in Ep 6) they could just dock at any angle and climb up/down/sideways out, but it'd get real tricky if the ship was top-down and whatever it was hitching to was top-up.

Or it could be I think too much about these things.

This is Star Wars. None of the vehicles make any sense.

More Detail work, Close to primer and bodywork.

First coat of primer on, surprised bodywork will be minimal. Now to work on decals while these two dry.

Dude that's just simply.. impressive.. most impressive!

Sadly i got two right hands so i would have half of the time not know what im doing and ruin it!

(hardly could create my own play field 4x4 and all i had to do was painting)

In envy you! ;)

If you start with something simple, your skills build from there. I started these with out any plans, so they were moderately difficult.

Utterly incredible - it's been a real treat for me to follow this and watch them grow!

I like the idea that you have named them after famous imperials, Tarkin is a good name for a ship. Perhaps you could call the other 'Piett' or 'Isard' or something.

I have settled on the names; one will be Tarkin, and the other Reaver.

It appears you are correct, I suppose the name will be changed to Wilhuff Tarkin

Hey, don't change it on my behalf.. There is a certain ominous feeling knowing that all weapons of mass destruction in this game are named after the grand daddy of fear. After all, Tarkin came up with the Tarkin Doctrine that more or less said to use bigger and more powerful weapons to bring the outlying systems into line with Imperial law.

The empire will use a name on multiple ships, though on differing class ships and such.. so.. go for It.. Tarkin is an iconic personality

Are these Strike Cruisers?
