Hey all, before I buy it, I was just pondering on the contents of the Winds of Magic resource/expansion pack, and do I need to get it if I want to introduce more magic-based careers with a high-elf character? Thanks.
Winds of Magic?
Winds of Magic introduces Corruption which is a fun concept applying beyond magic.
It does not introduce High Elf magic as a player concept. True high elf magic is beyond player level (in this edition and in 2nd). I use the 2nd edition rule that an elf basically becomes a college mage (one colour only) as part of "grade school" learning magic and when fully qualified (Rank 5) ready to go home to Ulthuan and learn "real magic". Mechanically there is no difference then.
There are fan-made supplements for taking other approaches (Book of the Asur etc).
Thank you. ![]()
Winds of Magic expands magic actions beyond the three Orders from Core Set. It also brings some Spell Actions for enemies, specially Tzeentch cards, but also some Dark Magic ones. If you plan having more magic in your game than just the basic, you shouldn't miss it.
Brilliant, thanks.
