The Videos...
Things got really tight in the beginning as the ships moved in left of middle of the board and got all clumped together. They did manage to separate and spread out from there.
Luke was the first ship down, and then it went all down hill for the Empire...
Enjoy!

The Empire shouldn't have loaded down Fett so much, and spread those points out to a couple more ships! Not to mention having 6 points unspent is asking for trouble.

$200 for those tiles? I think you're going to have a hard sell there. People were complaining about $40 for the FFG tiles.

If I was fabulously wealthy, Id go through kickstarter and give money right and left to game companies. Those tiles look slick, even if they are expensive.

I represented the Rebel Alliance in this match.

GAME THOUGHTS

While Boba Fett was certainly overloaded with points, it definitely altered my thinking in playing against him. I altered my movements and broke formation just because of the threat of that proximity bomb on more than one occasion, which had a big role to play in Luke’s untimely demise early in the game. In hindsight, taking the Millenium Falcon title off and switching Luke’s elite pilot card to PTL instead of Veteran Instincts would have made a more potent combo paired with his Engine Upgrade and R2 Astromech (as it did with Wedge, especially in the late game). I was REALLY hoping to get the Y-Wing over to the Firespray to get another ion on him and force him off the board – he ended up miscalculating movement and flying off anyway, but doing it with ion would have been much more satisfying. :D

All in all, I was pleased with the squad – handing off actions left and right made a huge difference in the game. For future 100 pt matches, I’m going to keep practicing with a Lando/Nien Numb/PTL combo with Dutch + Ion and a Gold SP + Ion to see how that goes against swarms, twin Firesprays, etc. I'm also thinking Wedge and Luke both with Engine Upgrades, R2 Astromechs, and PTL with a Rookie Pilot rounding out the points might be formidable in a 100 pt. game, especially in a heavy asteroid field they can use to get some added defense dice and disrupt formations with.

GAME TILE PLAYING EXPERIENCE

When I saw the Kickstarter video for these tiles, I have to admit the shine on them worried me in terms of ships getting easily bumped/sliding. But these acrylic tiles actually held better than most surfaces I have played on - better than my kitchen table for sure, and better than the space cloth I normally run on these days. I was pleasantly surprised. That they look awesome is good - that you can PLAY on them well is great .

$200 is definitely a chunk of change for a game board – but I think there’s a market for it just the same. We gamers are not necessarily known for our ability to hold onto our cash when there are pretty shiny objects around. The fact that they provide a customizable setup and stay "locked" in place effortlessly throughout the play experience, in addition to the other points made, will make these a high end, high quality option for X-Wing players.

Thanks for the videos, love to see batrep on video than just read it.

Despide the overloade firespay, good game.

PS: I heard some guys playing at the background and just want to say... WAAAGH! ;)

I have only watched the first video and part of the second...

Looks like the Imperial Player only Rolled 2 attack die each for his Interceptors...should have rolled 3 or am I not seeing that clearly. When I get more time, I will watch the rest of the videos.

Yeah, he noticed at some point in the game he was only rolling two on his TIE Ints and adjusted. Seemed about halfway though, though I don't recall just when. Neither of us spotted it until then.

Yep, there were a few things I missed out on, not rolling the three attack die for the Interceptors were one of them. This was just my third game of X-Wing and I'm still getting familiar with it. I think it's a great game and a lot of fun to play.

For the rematch, I may drop some of the extras on the Firespray, only taking the Prox. mine and maybe one or two other upgrades and using the other points for an extra Interceptor. ;)

I enjoyed the Vids. Good game...looking forward to more vids. Love the tiles!

$200 for the tiles? No thanks, I do not worry about being frugal in my game purchases but that is still out of the question. They look good though.

200 is a slap in the face. I build a felt mat with purple and white streaks that look pretty cool for 7 dollars and everyone loves it. Ill post a picture if I could figure out htf to insert a picture.

Sorry but I have other uses for $200 of hobby money....like buying the US 7th Armored box set for Flames of War.

Z is right on target. Anyways, can someone tell me how to post a picture.
