From Team Covenant's coverage:
-B-wing maneuver dial-
1: forward (green), bank (green), turn (red)
2: forward (green), bank (white), turn(white), koiogran Turn (red)
3: forward (white), bank (red)
4: forward (red)
Going straight is so stressful!!

Have you guys seen the B-Wing maneuver dial? Everyone wants to focus on dice. Almost every ship in the game will want to get close and stay behind a B-Wing. Doing so will negate a ton of attacks by being out of arc. Or at the very least it will prevent focus firing. 3 B-Wings doesn't sound all that intimidating to face. Intelligent maneuvering will make it impossible for the B-Wings to put out the firepower you are predicting. Granted, play testing will be required to prove either theory.
Intelligent maneuvering on the B-Wing will be its main drawback, but people manage to live with a X-Wing dial and it doesn't even have a sharp 1 speed turn. It also doesn't have a 2 speed K-Turn.
I’m going to say this having played wave 3 for the first time this past Thursday. Wave three is over rated. Are there good cards? Yes. Are the ships needed to balance the game? Yes. Do the dials suck? YES.
Tie swarms, two plus large ships, and HSF lists will still fly well and be a good part of the tourney environment.
Flying multiple Shuttles is a terrible idea. Once any other ship gets behind them or to the side of them, it is only a matter of time. Good alpha strike? You bet but nothing else.
Three B-wings with heavy cannons? Four sabers with PTL. Will I loose one in the Alpha strike? Yes. Did you trade out a ship? Yes. On the next turn are the squints behind you at range one? Probably.
I was getting taken to town trying to fly as many W3 ships as I could. When I started mixing it up is when I started winning. This game is not just about a solid Alpha strike. Ships gotta move well and be flown to near perfection.
X-wings have a R2 upgrade giving them a bunch of green maneuvers.
I'm sticking with my prediction: 3 B-Wing lists will not be that scary.
With B-wings it's like swapping wedge or a good named pilot for a different one. Jan Ors is scarier than B-wings.
Getting back to HSF vs wave 3:
Sure, Han Shoots First... at Vaders outstretched gauntlet.

Stopping the Falcon is all about ripping off the shields followed by crits on the hull. Most of the critical effects are pretty devastating.
